Called needing help for my daughter’s car who is attending college. I’m out of state and couldn’t look at it. James was extremely helpful setting up the appointment, was on time and followed through with what we discussed. Turns out the issue was not related to the key. He was extremely honest shared the codes with me and even gave me a recommendation on a reputable shop in town. I expected some type of charge for his time or the trip at least. To my surprise he wasn’t trying to charge me anything. You don’t find good people like him often anymore. If you are in need of a honest locksmith in the Swainsboro area I would highly recommend giving James at Lock City a call.

UPDATE: I am changing my review to a 5 star! The owner personally reached out to me & explained that the technician was intentionally doing this to mess up his business! He made me whole which is true customer service! I will definitely call him directly if I need services in the future!

I called for service for keys locked inside my 2006 Chevrolet Impala that was running. The lady on the phone quoted me a $15 service charge to come out & the service starts at $35 and could go up based on the vehicle. I was charged $25 for the service charge & $175 for the service. Service charge prices shouldn’t change when the technician arrives & a range of prices should be given on the actual service price. Highly disappointed in this bait & switch tactic used on people in desperate situations!

I love supporting locally owned businesses. City Lock is a small business packed full of things they offer. I had a key fob programmed for my car (since we can no longer program fobs like we could way back when). They do sell fobs for a myriad of other cars. I happened to purchase my fob on Amazon thinking I could program it myself. I arrived around 9:30 am and my fob was programmed and key cut within 15 minutes. It cost $100 to program the fob. Compare that to your local dealership. I just saved at least $150! Great service. Great folks. Great prices. (They do have to close at times to go out on calls so you may want to make sure someone is in the office before you go.)
