I cannot say enough great things about 500 Keys Locksmith. This man is truly amazing and full of integrity. I had been calling around for help because my husband’s key broke off in the ignition. When I first called him, he wasn’t available the same day, so I told him I would keep looking. Instead of just trying to get my business, he gave me honest advice. He said, “Ma’am, two things—if they say it’s a starting price, they’re trying to take advantage of you. It should be a flat rate. And if they ask you to sign something saying they’re not responsible if they mess up, don’t let them touch your car.” That alone told me a lot about his character.

Thankfully, my husband managed to get the broken key out, and we decided to wait for him. He showed up the very next morning at 9:00 on the dot, just like he said he would. After checking everything, he told us the ignition was damaged and needed to be replaced. When I asked the cost, he said it would still be the same price—$160! Another place had told us it would start at $350.

He even went the extra mile and said, “Let me save you some money—I’ll get the switch from my guy.” He came out to my house and handled everything professionally and efficiently.

When I tell you this is someone you can trust, I truly mean it. Honest, reliable, and affordable—he is simply amazing. Highly recommend!

I was locked out of my home. Locksmith asked for $400 but we talked them down almost 50%. If I wasn’t on a time crunch I would’ve cancelled. They arrived later than the original time, and then later than the updated time they gave us. I understand traffic happens but any modern GPS shouldn’t be off by an hour. Only giving 2 stars because the job was complete and we talked him down but… I wouldn’t recommend this business for lock outs…

I used a KeyMe kiosk at a Walmart and it’s the quickest and most affordable way I’ve ever used to have a key made. The key was of quality materials and worked perfectly.

I locked myself out my house and called this company. They told me the starting price would be $90 depending on how difficult the locks would be. It was a basic bottom lock. The guy came and it took him 5 min to open and charged me $160. When I asked why he said because it wasn’t cracked and he had to use whatever to get it open like if that’s not the point of the job. I knew I was being overcharged but it raining and I had to get inside. That was definitely a $70 job smh

Biggest rip off ever. I called to get a front door unlocked and when I called they were unable to tell me any sort of quote. When the guy arrived he told me $295 making it seem as if that was the total price. I told him that was way more than expected and I was going to call someone else. He then came down to $195 and then agreed so that I could just get it over with. Once he finished he THEN AND ONLY THEN mentioned the $35 service fee. What a shady way to do business! Stay away or be ripped off!!

Had a fantastic experience here today.

I had called 10+ local locksmiths to get a duplicate made of my motorcycle key. All of them said they couldn’t do it, even though I had the original and a blank.

I rolled up to Sandy Spring Locksmith and they had it done in 15 minutes for $45. Isaac and Matt helped me and were fantastic. Outstanding service and quality, especially for the price.

I’m never going anywhere else for a key copy.

Machine worked pretty good. The price is about double the price at Home Depot. At the first attempt to open my door, even after polishing of the burrs, did not work. I had held the original key with a slight pressure from backing out during grinding. However I still had to fiie the shoulder back a bit so that the new key would fit into the lock slightly more. It now works fine.

This review is for vehicle locksmith service: When I called, the phone was answered quickly and the technician arrived within the eta. He was able to unlock my car within a few minutes and gave me a coupon if i ever need their service again. Only reason I deducted a star is because their price is higher than competitors.
