I drive an old SUV, about 15 years old. This provider arrived within an hour of my call & the job was done in about 30 mins. I got a replacement key AND TWO backup keys. He is personable, efficient & affordable.

Update 12/18/2025: About a month later the key fob fell apart, pictures below. This company uses cheap materials & does not warranty his work. I appreciate that he got me into my car when I needed it, hence the three stars. However, he offered to give me another key but refused to replace the fob without charging me again. I already bought a key from him with no fob. What I want is a working fob. At this point, I don’t trust him or any other locksmith, so I’ll have to go to a Toyota dealership.

Dash was absolutely phenomenal. I traveled to multiple locations to get my key fob fixed and the battery changed. All they did was damage it more and then said they couldn’t help me. Dash not only was able to fix my key fob but he also changed my battery. He was very kind, informative, and very competitive with pricing. I cannot recommend this locksmith due to deceptive practices.

I prefer to hire local workers whenever possible, so I contacted a company using the name Locksmiths Near Me to do work on my front entry door. They had a local phone number, a website, photos of their vehicles, and a nearby business address (10940 N. 56th Street, Temple Terrace) only two miles from my home. All looked good.

Over the phone I was given prices between $39 and $69 based on different options. I was told that the technician would explain further when he arrived. That’s when the price went up to $120, including four copies of the new key. I am fatigued, battling cancer and, wanting the job done, I reluctantly agreed. The technician rekeyed the lock then gave me only one key, claiming his key machine suddenly wasn’t working. Off he went. I later realized that the company name on the service truck (All In One Locksmith) was different than the company that I had called. I also learned that there is no locksmith using either name in Temple Terrace whatsoever. I drove by that address to find it is occupied by others.

Needless to say… I have been ripped off.

What a terrific experience I had this morning. Drove over to HillsBorough Lock & Key. Met with Richard & Cathy concerning my 2013 Camry remote & ignition key. My dog chewd it up yesterday. They had everthing in stock, all new factory OEM looking new Remote control key unit. They programmed my cars computer, cut the key all in 25 minutes or less. Very professional, fast & friendly. What a Cost savings compared to any place around. All other shops and dealerships charging several hundred dollars more. Someup to $900 elsewhere. This is the only place to consider, dont waste your time or hard earned money with others or dealerships. My cost was Under $200, New remote, key & programing, testing and guarantee. The customer service is decent. Some are friendlier than others but I’ve never felt treated unjust. The prices are slightly pricier than the competitors but the quality is better than most. (I get key copies done here) My favorite part is if Trouble is there. (He is a beautiful orange cat who is there most of the time) Trouble is very friendly & will insist on you petting him.

Adam did an amazing job fixing the ignition on my 2015 Chevy truck. Diagnosed the issue right away, and had everything repaired much faster than I expected. Say 20 minutes, it shouldn’t be over an hour. Anyway, the locksmith finally came- Amos, who was quite nice and quick. It literally took him less than 15 minutes to open the trunk, because as I said, the car was unlocked! The service was great, but the surprise charge is ridiculous! When it was time to pay, I was charged $235!!! I feel it was outrageous that 1- YOU/YOUR dispatcher ask the make and model of the car and the situation, but can’t/won’t give a quote, and 2- there was nothing done except unlocking the trunk by loosening the lock panel on the driver’s side door, there was no extra key or key FOB made, nothing excessive has to be done. My son has tried to contact the company regarding the charge and has been given the run around. If you are considering using this company I would urge you to think twice. Don’t make the mistake that I made, make sure they give you a quote and maybe check around. And to the company- your canned response about “using this review as a learning opportunity to improve your services” and your apology is not good enough! Because had I actually read some of your recent reviews beforehand I would’ve looked elsewhere. The only satisfactory response or resolution is a partial refund of your excessive charges!
