This was the most frustrating experience I have had. I requested a deadbolt lock. I was texted 2 pictures. I requested the first picture. Installed price was given at $220. The tech was unfriendly, installed the wrong lock. It locked one time and we could not get it to lock again. I called to complain. I did not want the same tech to fix it. He was the one who called back. He argued with me about what I ordered. I have text pictures to prove what I requested. When I called to request a refund I got a sincere apology, but no action. Once I submitted the review I then was offered a partial refund. The refund was $301 of $381. I still was not happy, but it was better than nothing. I did have to have another locksmith install the right deadbolt. Once the refund was received the company had been incessantly asking me to remove the review. I’m feeling harassed. I couldn’t find the review to change it. I’m adding more details.

Called yesterday to set an appointment for the next day today. They called trying to come that day but scheduled it for 9 am the next day because I’m a busy person. Had time before work to make an appointment. Called 25 mins before my scheduled appointment to make sure we’re still on schedule was confirmed by Adam that he would see me there. 9:05 call in to the office because no one is here. Receive a call from Adam 9:08 stating he is 15 mins away that locksmith need a buffer window to show up to appointments set a day before. Putting time to 9:23 it’s currently 9:25 and no signs of a lock smith I now have to leave for scheduled appointments I have for being 30 mins late to a confirmed appointment.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Not only was he (forgot his name) honest about arrival time, he was quick and efficient with reprogramming a new key fob! Just needed basic key copying done but they were very courteous and did a fantastic job even though it was close to closing time. And the keys fit the locks like a glove. Couldn’t say enough good things about this shop.

I’m only giving this man one star because I couldn’t leave a zero star. This man is a total rip-off! in January my elderly mother called him to change three locks for $275, there was a problem with the garage door lock today and he had to come back out to fix it ,come to find out he did not give her new locks, he only changed the internal cylinders and charged her an extra $95, which $95x 3 comes up to $275, which she paid him the first time, so that means he overcharged her the first time, if he only changed the cylinders. if you’re going to use this man to change your locks make sure you see the new locks he’s putting in , or he will rip you off. Warning everybody too be very, very careful with this man.

If I could give zero stars, I would.
I called Pop-A-Lock after locking my keys in my car, and was told the technician would arrive within 30 minutes. Instead, I was left waiting over 2 hours, with no updates, no courtesy call, and no apology. The technician didn’t even contact me until an hour and forty minutes later.

What makes this worse is the complete lack of customer service afterward. I reached out by email multiple times and received no response at all. For a company that advertises reliability and professionalism, this experience was the exact opposite.

If you need urgent help, do not rely on Pop-A-Lock. They were dishonest about the wait time, left me stranded for hours, and showed zero accountability. I will never use this company again and I don’t recommend that anyone else does either.

Jerry and Sam are the absolute best. The own and operate the epitome of a locally owned father and son locksmith business, which is so hard in today’s electronic world. They are incredibly knowledgeable, honest and fair. I have used them multiple times. Jerry just took care of my Toyota Tundra new key fobs, programmed and cut the security key/remote combos.
