Today was the second time that we called Derls to our home to make car keys for us. Trey was prompt and efficient, worked in the pouring rain, and did an outstanding job, as usual. He even gave me an unexpected veteran’s discount. There is no lock & key service in Crestview that we would ever use other than Derls.

I’m only giving this man one star because I couldn’t leave a zero star. This man is a total rip-off! in January my elderly mother called him to change three locks for $275, there was a problem with the garage door lock today and he had to come back out to fix it ,come to find out he did not give her new locks, he only changed the internal cylinders and charged her an extra $95, which $95x 3 comes up to $275, which she paid him the first time, so that means he overcharged her the first time, if he only changed the cylinders. if you’re going to use this man to change your locks make sure you see the new locks he’s putting in , or he will rip you off. Warning everybody too be very, very careful with this man.

Wife and daughter went to get a key fob we purchased online programmed for our vehicle. Technician tried twice, but said it was a junk key and it wouldn’t work. Still charged us about $100 for the attempt. Went to another place the next day and they had it done in a few minutes. Had better experiences in the past here but I will not be going back.

No kidding, y’all! This really happened! The key lanyard to our RV, which is usually worn around my neck, was left on the front seat when we walked outside to setup our University of Florida Tailgate RV Site for the Gator Game; Our dog, who was inside the RV, jumped up on the seat and sat on the fob- LOCKING us out of our RV!!!! Never fear! Marcus, with Mobile Locksmith, John Blackburn & Son, answered our call for help! Marcus was friendly and professional upon calling their number, took all our information to locate us, said he’d be to us in 30 minutes, showed-up within 16 minutes, greeted us with a smile and a handshake, and had us unlocked in 30 seconds (no kidding!)! He thought he had seen it all, but “dog-locked-us-out-by-sitting-on-the-fob” was new to him, too! I called at at 4:00 in the afternoon I’d lost the only key to my truck and was literally stranded at a store. They got all the information and told me a technician would call me back within a half hour 45 minutes later I called back and he said oh the technician didn’t call you and I said no he hasn’t and I’m stuck in a parking lot. He said no problem I’ll call him and have him call you right away! Now it’s 5:00 I have no way to lock my vehicle or drive my vehicle so I started looking for other locksmiths that were available. At 7:30 I gave up and I had to call my husband to come get me leaving my truck unlocked all night. I have since found out that you’re not even in town! And the answering service didn’t tell me really horrible business people I had used them before and swore I never would again
