KeyMe directed me to Budget Locksmith because a friend locked her keys in the car. When the tech called me back, I asked how much. He said $120 for pop lock. He was prompt and it look 1 minute to unlock car. But bill was $220, but if I give him a 5 star rating, he will knock off one of the other two fees, which still came to $170. There is a service fee and labor fee on top of popping the lock. We were shocked. I asked how much, I didn’t ask how much for popping the lock. This is bait and switch. They are trained not to tell the total price because he said most people will just hang up. This isn’t just him, its the company he works for. He mentioned that you have to be very specific when asking for pricing. I normally wouldn’t give a 1 star, but $220 for 1 minute. I understand the 15 minute drive time and convenience, but to not tell me all the pricing upfront knowing it is too expensive, you deserve 1 star. Do better!!

THIS is your choice for your locksmith services! My car key fob wasn’t working to unlock my car in a local business parking lot. Even after changing out the battery! After calling Precision Safe & Lock here in Winter Haven, Jeremiah showed up within 30 minutes, we got things figured out pretty quick, and I was back on the road. I went straight to the Winter Haven location to have a new fob programmed and was in and out in a very reasonable time, even with how busy they were. I have to admit I was skeptical, just putting my key in and having it duplicated. I figured I’d get home and have trouble with it. Instead, this was a convenient location, the key was made quickly, price on par with similar services, and no searching someone down to make the key. I would definitely use again.
