While it is relatively quick & the keys are well cut, it was very frustrating that I had to do 4 separate transactions for each different key I needed copied.

UPDATE: Beware of this business! They have now sent us 18 messages berating, harassing and threatening us! We have not responded to their messages but they continue to harass us.

My husband wrote an honest review of his call to this business. He called two different numbers that both reached this business. He did NOT call three times and hang up. He was berated by the business and now, they won’t stop messaging him. I’ve looked at their reviews and there are many 1 stars. The 5 stars are from months and even years ago. Fortunately, we contacted a very nice business who offered us a much lower price and they have high ratings. It’s a shame when a business is so unprofessional and treats potential customers in this manner.

Today we came to Dash Lock and Key to replace two car keys for Anthony’s truck. Jackie took great care of us. She told us it would take about 30 minutes, but she finished in less than 20!

We’re so grateful for her experience, professionalism, and efficiency. If you need a key replaced right away in Middletown, NY, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend!

I normally go out of my way to leave 5-star reviews and only leave negative reviews when a business provides exceptionally poor service. Unfortunately, this experience absolutely deserved a 1-star review.

I recently moved into a new home and wanted to have the locks changed immediately for security and peace of mind. I contacted this company ahead of time, confirmed the appointment date and time, and even sent pictures to make sure they had everything they needed. Everything appeared scheduled and confirmed.

Then, the morning of the appointment — about an hour before they were supposed to arrive — I received a call from someone else entirely who said the job had been assigned to them. I again confirmed the appointment time and expected arrival.

The scheduled arrival time came and went. No call. No text. No update whatsoever.

After waiting approximately 45 minutes past the appointment time, I finally called them myself only to be told they were “on the way” and that there had been some sort of emergency. While emergencies happen, basic professionalism and courtesy require at least a simple phone call or text message to let your customer know you’re running late. Instead, I was left sitting in a new house waiting around during an already stressful moving day wondering if anyone was even coming.

Moving is stressful enough without having to deal with an unreliable company that clearly does not value customers’ time. Communication was terrible, scheduling was disorganized, and the overall experience was frustrating from start to finish.

I honestly have no idea how this business has a 4.8-star rating. Based on my experience, it’s hard not to question whether many of those reviews are fake or paid for.

I would strongly recommend avoiding this business and finding a locksmith company that is actually reliable and respectful of its customers.
