Called this company and they must have sent out a contractor because he had no uniform or truck or jacket that said he was with Red Rock Locksmith. I asked for a quote and they said they couldn’t give one to me till they saw it. I just wanted my deadbolt and door handle replaced. He said it would be $650 to $800. I could buy a new storm door for that. I told him I was going to get some other estimates. He said he would try to clean up my old parts and see if they would work better. While my door was annoying to use it still worked now it works worse and he also sprained my pants with oil lubricant. And still had the audacity to ask for a tip while charging me $185.40 and leaving my door a greasy mess.

Now I know there is a chance that things could have just worsened from taking it apart and putting it back together but I was also able to find a few quotes for $350 which seems like the going rate anyways. Not sure if he thought he could charge me more because I was a woman or if he buys his wholesale at too high a price.

I’m sorry for the negative review but I’ve been here 4 times to support this local business and they’re never able to cut my key. I have brought in a pool key from my HOA pool to make a copy for my wife since the HOA couldn’t find the master… Nope they couldn’t do it. I then brought in a blank for my car (no electronics, just blank key) and nope they won’t do that either. A few months later I brought in a Thule bike rack key as I needed a second one and once again, nope they couldn’t do it! I finally felt compelled to leave this review after the 4th key I’ve brought in because they asked for me to come back in the morning when I brought the most simple key in for them to cut. I went to Ace right after and they did it in 30 seconds. BTW ace has actually done all of these now, so I am not sure how a speciality shop cannot do it 😔. I want to support local and love that they’re so close but at this point I don’t know why I’d go back. Nothing against the people or anything I just don’t understand how a key shop can’t cut 4 keys I’ve brought them.

I had a great experience with this locksmith service! Tyler was the technician who came out and he was absolutely top-notch. He arrived quickly, was very professional, and explained everything clearly before starting the work. You can tell he really knows what he’s doing.

He handled the situation efficiently and made sure everything was working perfectly before he left. On top of that, he had a great attitude and made a stressful situation a lot easier to deal with.

I went to City Lock 20 years ago with a house door lock key that wasn’t working well. He held up the key, looked closely at it and said, “This is a copy that is not cut quite correctly.” Then he corrected it. Since then, I only go to City Lock for any key or lock issues.
Recently, an electronic key fob for my Subaru Forester was lost. It was duplicated very quickly and works perfectly. I later found the lost key, and he reprogrammed it on the spot.
