I needed to have three new door knobs, all keyed the same. I called several locksmiths and received a dollar quote for each knob. Cow Coast was able to make two match the third. That’s the kind of thinking that I like. They were also ready in about 20 minutes.

I usually say that you can’t get good fast and cheap service. You usually have to pick two out of three. Cal Coast broke that law.

I would use them again in a flash.

Oh, did I mention that the owner was very nice as well. Enough said.

Absolute scam for locked car. Quotes $60 over the phone despite assurances it’ll only be that amount then $300 in person. Says 15 minutes but took 70. But Can be brow beat to taking $100: be willing to haggle and have cash.

But better to call AAA or other locals they all charged less than $150 and would show up on time.

Key Me Locksmiths repeatedly told me a technician would call me—this happened at least five times over a 20-hour period. No one ever contacted me, and I never received service. I was never informed that a technician was unavailable, only given repeated assurances that were not kept. Very unprofessional and misleading. Santa Barbara mobile key did the job in a fraction of the time with way better customer service

Look at this door handle and tell me if you think it’s $500 in labor (I bought the parts). Christina and Esteban are nice but this should have been half price and not taken 2 trips b/c a plate was not in the work van. He had to take everything apart again and we paid in refunds, lockouts, time and a giant price tag. I am grateful the job was done, but anyone looking at this job can agree it’s not work half a grand.

Our front door lock, handle, etc. needed replacement. I found Carpinteria Lock and Key online and called. Ricky answered the phone, asked me to send pics of the equipment, found a replacement, sent me a picture of it and gave me a reasonable quote. We set an appointment two days later and he came on time and professionally completed the job. He even drove out of town to find the equipment at no extra cost. Payment by credit card was easily available too. He was very communicative
