I went to Canadian Tire and asked them if they could cut me a “dumb” key for my car door. Not only would they not do it, but they were even a little nasty about it.
I then came here to Wheatland Lock and made the same request to Rick, telling him it was an emergency key for the door only. Rick took the time to find a suitable blank and then cut a key. He told me to try it out. I did, but it didn’t work. Rick then took his micrometer, took some measurements and then fine-tuned the key he had just cut. This time the key worked perfectly. And Rick only wanted to charge me $8.50. Needless to say I had to twist his arm to accept some extra money for the time and effort he’d put into it.
If you ever find yourself in the same situation I was in, WHEATLAND LOCK INC. is the place to go. Thanks, Rick. Superb job.

Scott was able to cut my 2024 Ford truck key that Home Depot, Lowes and Ace Hardware were not able to do. Better yet, it only cost $25 and they provided great service despite being busy at times. If you are in Tri-valley and need a key cut, save yourself time and money and give them a call first. Thanks.

Awesome local place that helped me copy my car fob/key. He was super fast barely 20 mins later and we were done. My car is older 2013 so time could vary. Also, super reasonable priced; Dealership was quoting me 550 for a spare key, and even the ace hardware people across the street recommended checking by him to see the price.

The only real wait I had to do was come back another day because the key needed to be ordered since it was an older model lexus. I came in on a Friday, returned that Monday 2 days later. Plus he replaced my car key’s fob battery for free. Other than that 10/10 would definitely come back if i needed to copy another car key.
