I had to call them as I was locked out of my ’06 Corolla. My experience with them had been very sour at the beginning mostly due to communication issue with their dispatch center.

The phone number listed will connect you to an agent. The agent will dispatch you a technician (in house or contractor). As such, your experience could vary depending on which one you get.

The agent initially would not discuss about service charge, and I was told it would be handled by a technician. However, the final price due was about 70% more than the original agreed price due to taxes and fees.

I tried calling the number again, but the second agent was not helpful at all. It wasn’t until the owner was made aware of the issue thru review that a resolution was achieved.

Since the issue has been resolved very quickly, I have updated the review to take that into account. That said, since the avenue to escalate an issue seems, to me, limited to publicly written review, there is no absolute guarantee everyone will be lucky to have their complaint reviewed. The business still has a homework to ensure every employee or contractor is trained to their standards.

Marathon Locksmith really came through to help me when I was in need after a small emergency getting locked out of my car. Fast response and help within a few hours and I was on way! Bar was an amazing dude who helped me out in an emergency. I foolishly locked myself out of my home. So I called a locksmith service through a Google search. He was there quicker than I expected and had a very friendly demeanor. Hopefully, I will not need this service again but will definitely save this company’s number if I do.

Like double the price of other places and if you pick the basic cut it leaves a lot of residue from the key, other places I have gone don’t have an option that leaves debris and an “upgrade” that does standard service. Would not recommend. Most hardware stores have something better all around.

I’ve used Alex’s services a few different times now in the Noe Valley area, both for electronic lock installation and replacing a standard lock. He’s always been incredibly prompt to arrive and fast to complete his work, and I’ve been happy with the results. I called another locksmith in town from a larger shop and found out that their minimum charge just for showing up was greater than what Alex charged me.

Guy was a great help. I found him on Yelp and was impressed with the positive reviews. I called him on a Sunday afternoon hoping to get an appointment for Monday and he said he could be the in 30 minutes! He was professional, friendly, reasonably priced, and resolved my issue quickly. It is nice to know there are still honest, hardworking people out there. If I need a locksmith in the future, Guy will be the first person I call.

Terrible. Key is jacked up and barely works paid extra for a smooth key but it’s the roughest key I’ve ever used super unhappy with it you can tell this key gonna be trash just by comparing it to the original

It’s called Low Rate for a reason. I called inquiring about an estimate and indeed the prices stated were appealing. However they ended up charging almost double of what I was quoted. Their excuse was “the technician will provide an accurate estimate on site”. But they did not mention that when technician arrives to provide the estimate you have to may the service fee of $29. Their office stated copies or keys range from $3-$5. When technician arrived the said it will cost $12 since it’s a Schlage lock. When I doubled checked with the office, of course they say that’s true those locks cost more. Why then would they not say keys cost btw $3 to $12 depending on the type of lock? Anyways, mislead information, first and last time doing business with this company. Had I gone with my previous option I had paid less for the job. Bye Low Rate
