They asked for my information, forwarded it to the worker. Without prior communication, the worker arrived on site demanding $400 to open my car door (not a complicated job took 2 minutes), $125 for driving to the site which was not communicated beforehand, and $275 for the service itself. Thankfully I was able to negotiate this down to something more reasonable but I was not fond of the fact that they were trying to hustle me for $400 as a college student. The company failed to communicate to me that there would be $125 in fees prior to telling the locksmith to come to the site.

The kiosk asked me if I wanted my key to work @ an additional $2.99
I declined thinking how bad could it be my house key was pretty simple.
What i did find was that it didnt even match up whole thing was off by 1/16″ and an additional cut was made that did not match original key.
I couldn’t even have my local hardware store fix the 2 keys I already paid 3 times more than hardware store. I had to buy 2 new keys cut from blanks.
This business is disgusting. Its o e thing to be over priced and my choice to use the service. They stole my money.
I demand a refund, an apology and additional compensation. My keys I had to go out of my way to get. I need a refund d for that too.

This was my first experience with the “machine.” We went looking for a place to have our old car (2004) key remade and found one of your stations at a general store in southern California. The process was surprisingly easy and high tech. The software offered a good deal on a second key which we took. The spare keys arrived in a few days and worked flawlessly. And the price was right as compared to a car dealership price. We’re happy to have found you!

Absolutely trash company. Don’t use their locksmiths unless you want your property permanently damaged. They charge $300-$400 and will cost you another $500 in property damages.

Using Frank’s Lock and key in Arroyo Grande was a no-brainer. They have a great reputation in our area. The process was easy. We contacted them to see what smart lock would work best for us . We chose our lock and finish and Luke contacted us to schedule installation. Installation was so quick and easy. He then advised us on the app to download to create our own pins.
I highly recommend them. They are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely use them for all of our locks and key needs in the future.

I was out of town and didn’t have much time but needed to make copies of an elderly relative’s house key. Went to Home Depot and the salesperson pointed me to the Minute Key machine. The machine had easy to follow directions and quite a few key design options available immediately if that is your thing. If you can wait for shipping the design options are quite extensive. I deducted one star because it was a bit spendy ($9 per key with a design) compared to having my keys copied at home at my local hardware store) but the kiosk got the job done quickly and without hassle. I tested all four key copies in the appropriate lock and all worked well.

I called at the last minute after losing my key, and he was able to help me right away. He was very polite, professional, and quick. He made me a new key, provided an extra spare key, and even gave me an extra battery for my car remote. His prices were very reasonable, and everything works perfectly. I highly recommend him to anyone needing an auto locksmith!
