Security risk. I had an issue with their service and called them more than six times, only to be hung up on as soon as I said the words “customer service.” I went to the address they list, but there’s no locksmith at that location. If they have copies of your keys, you won’t even be able to find them if your place gets robbed months after their service. Think twice before using them.

This review is long overdue. During a hectic Thanksgiving Day a few months ago, I was carrying my Thanksgiving food to my car to drive up to Oxnard for a celebration. Absent-minded, I picked up a wrong key from my kitchen counter and shut the pre-locked door. Suddenly, I realized I was locked out of my house for the first time in 25 years, and on a major holiday! With family out of town, there was no spare key anywhere. Fortunately, I had my cell phone in my pocked, I called 5 local locksmiths from googling. Lazim/Palos Verdes Lock and Key were the only ones that returned my call, ever. And that was within 15 minutes of my call. Thank you to Mike I believe his name was, for being an absolute hero of the day. Withing 30 seconds of working on it, my door was re-opened and my Thanksgiving was saved! He didn’t need to drill out my lock, and most important I didn’t need to break my window to get inside which I was prepared to do. This team is amazing, I will use you for any further usage I ever had for replacing locks, you have my full recommendation for your professionalism, helpfulness, and courtesy. I made it to Oxnard Thanksgiving celebration without any issues.

I recently had an issue with the key to my front door not working. I initially tried to fix it myself without success. I searched for locksmiths in the South Bay and called Ray’s Key & Lock in Torrance. I talked with Henry (Ray’s son–family business!) and he asked me to send him a picture of my lockset. He immediately texted me the estimate to get it fixed and we arranged to have him come the next day. He fixed the issue in about 15 minutes, and then he was able to re-key our back door (Anderson french door) as well–we had lost the keys many years ago. I could not have asked for a better experience. Henry was extremely communicative, professional, friendly AND very well priced! I love supporting a local family business, and I highly recommend Ray’s Key & Lock.

If there is a better place for having car keys coded and copied I have not found it. Don’t waste your money at a dealership – stop by and talk to Mo. Fast, friendly, and professional service. Good conversation and be sure to notice that part of the shop is an original Red Car train-trolley!

No found out it is the kiosk people. Well my key cost $13 and didn’t work at all. Luckly I asked for an email receipt. I filled out a refund form and got approved for a refund right away.

I desperately needed a key copied asap. Luckily I had found a this key copy machine at a Ralph’s grocery store. The key had came out so perfect that I decided to copy another key just for the heck of it! It was fast, affordable, and easy to use. I am very satisfied with my service!

I liked the convenience of the machine but I was disappointed that it did not have blanks for either my mailbox key or my Masterlock padlock.
After using the machine I had to visit a locksmith shop to obtain two of the three key copies that I needed.

Recently bought a 2000 ML55 that only came with 1 key. I sent the 2 ECU’s and that key off to LA Key who programmed 2 Remotes and 2 Valet keys. Price was reasonable, service was quick and shipped back to me. Happy with their service.
