I bought a care remote from them. They told me it was a quality replacement. After a few months the paint on the buttons completely wore off. Then at 15 months it stopped working completely even with a new battery. They changed the battery for 10 dollars and said it would work fine. It still didn’t work and they were unable to make it work. Poor product poor service. I won’t be back.

My daughter was locked out of her car and was told it would be 15/20 min. for service. She waited over an hour after sunset in a sketchy area and they still did not show up despite several calls to escalate. These company is completely unreliable. Do not waste your time with these clowns.

Awesome system. Conveniently located, easy to pay, and produced keys that, from the couple I’ve tested, work perfectly. A few caveats – (1) Does not take cash, so come with a credit card or digital payment method; (2) Keys take ~4 minutes to cut each, which can add up with a large order; (3) Keys will NOT look like the key you inserted, but that’s because most of those little ridges on the original keys are irrelevant. I didn’t trust the new keys at first, but when I tried them, they ended up working just fine. All told, I’ll be going to KeyMe for any of my key-making needs in the future. Thanks!

I called and chose Macmanuel because he was transparent about pricing. Told me he would be there in 45 minutes. He even told me to call and cancel another appointment I had booked since the other service was not transparent.

He never showed. I called several times and texted. I was cordial, but was blocked. I was relying on the service to make my car available to my family.

This made a bad day worse .

The WORST…Frank… I called THREE TIMES and spoke to his wife she was nice on the phone all 3 times saying he out on calls and promised frank would call when he gets back…For a simple Key Fob program. NEVER CALLED. I ended up finding the nice man on the corner of PCH an artesia the small key locksmith booth… He was great and did it for me right there for a very low price and fast. To make things worse with frank, he comes into where I work all the time Eats for free and never leaves us a tip… I asked him nicely, how come you never call me back?And instead of saying, oh, i’m sorry… He made up some nonsense story His wife couldn’t understand me on the phone… Then, how come I was speaking to her having a conversation… Just go to the nice gentleman on PCH and arthesia boulevard…

WHAT REALLY HAPPENED …

Frank is a Huge LIER…We never got to the topic of money, 3 months ago I asked him if he had a Fob and all he said was that he would look for one…He never got back to me if he had a fob…Now after waiting 3 months I called him three weeks ago, I called the shop and his wife answered the phone, she was very nice and said that frank was on a call and he will call when he gets back…All I told her is I got the Fob and if he could program it…frank never returned the call to me. So I waited a few days and then I called back, his wife picked up the phone again and PROMISED he will call me as soon as he gets back, and again he NEVER CALLED ME. I gave him another call and she said the same thing…And again I never got a call from frank. So i just went to the Very Nice Man at the Key Booth in the parking lot on artesia boulevard and PCH. No problem with him it took him all of 5 minutes to program my new key fob from Amazon, that frank is saying it cant be done……So then frank came into my job and was ignoring me, I asked him several times what happened? What happened? As he searched for a piece of pizza to eat that I just previously made…I thought you didn’t like my food 🤔 Then he walks over to the soda fountain for another free drink that he takes himself, it’s right next to the pizza station So I got to ask him again, he mumbled something about his wife doesn’t understand chinese… i said, wow, I should just give you a bad review… He got mad and told me go right ahead and that He doesn’t care write as many as you want and cursed at me …And that was it. NEVER said sorry, how can we fix this…nothing nice out of his mouth …Anyway never mention of want type of Key Fob I got and never even got to the point of money…if he would of gave me a price I would of either accepted it or declined, but we never got to that… Then he started crying to my boss that I was going to give him a bad review just 5 minutes after he got done screaming and cursing go ahead I don’t care, give me a review.

AND THIS IS WHY HE GETS ONE STAR FROM ME… I fugured after all the pizza he has eaten that I made, and Never adds to the Tip jar, as least he would be nice to me instead of ignore me like I was a brick wall.

Just had 3 keys made at Ray’s. Mentioned to owner I’m always hesitant to try one of those automated machines at Home Depot or Lowes. Got home, all 3 keys worked to perfection! I always judge a mechanics shop, or in this case, a key makers shop on its cleanliness and if things are in order. Spotless. It says everything about their business. The one we have gone to in the past has oily boxes stacked everywhere, and yea, well… absolutely stoked I finally made it into Ray’s. Great stuff!!! A+++

This review is long overdue. During a hectic Thanksgiving Day a few months ago, I was carrying my Thanksgiving food to my car to drive up to Oxnard for a celebration. Absent-minded, I picked up a wrong key from my kitchen counter and shut the pre-locked door. Suddenly, I realized I was locked out of my house for the first time in 25 years, and on a major holiday! With family out of town, there was no spare key anywhere. Fortunately, I had my cell phone in my pocked, I called 5 local locksmiths from googling. Lazim/Palos Verdes Lock and Key were the only ones that returned my call, ever. And that was within 15 minutes of my call. Thank you to Mike I believe his name was, for being an absolute hero of the day. Withing 30 seconds of working on it, my door was re-opened and my Thanksgiving was saved! He didn’t need to drill out my lock, and most important I didn’t need to break my window to get inside which I was prepared to do. This team is amazing, I will use you for any further usage I ever had for replacing locks, you have my full recommendation for your professionalism, helpfulness, and courtesy. I made it to Oxnard Thanksgiving celebration without any issues.

Easy to get key remade and pay. The keys fit or key itself is tight and hard to turn in door. But works I would use it again

I got 2 copies of the polka dot print keys. Super low quality. All the color and covering are flaking off right out of the machine. After 1 day or hanging it on my other keys, most of it flaked off.
