Transbay Lock did an outstanding job. Jason suggested fitting a new key to the existing lock instead of installing a new deadbolt, which helped preserve the beauty and character of our 100-year-old door. Really appreciated the care, craftsmanship, and honesty. Very grateful for the thoughtful solution and highly recommend them.

Edit: Excellent customer service.
Original: I used the automated kiosk inside Safeway. It was $11 per key. Made a terrible copy, notable differences between the original and duplicate, and barely worked. Will not be returning.

These guys are amazing! Melvin is a magician. He not only removed a broken key from a lock barrel, but managed to make a new key from the broken piece. Highly recommend!!!!!

It was pricey, but super convenient. I couldn’t make it to a real store within store hours, so this was a great solution for me. It was pretty quick, no longer than a key store. They have a great selection of designs if you can wait 3-4 days for shipping, They DO have standard blanks (and a few designs) in the machine if you need one right away.

Mike was punctual and professional. The work (re-keying two doors) was done quickly and quietly as I was on a call. All in job done in 15 minutes. Fair price charged. I see no reason to call anyone else in Marin.

I had 3 keys made at a kiosk at Safeway. The cost was about $29, which seemed expensive to me. After I was already committed to buying them, the machine asks if I want to “upgrade” them to get a smoother and more polished key. I am offended and say no. Sure enough, the keys I got worked, but they were very sharp and rough. Really? Your business model is to withhold the step where you smooth the key to try and make a few more bucks? I have no respect for you.
