I don’t typically write reviews, but I was so impressed by Tal that I feel compelled to share. I called him after losing my car keys, expecting a quick replacement. What should have been a simple install turned into a much more complicated situation due to issues with my car.
Tal put in many hours over several days, returning multiple times without charging me anything beyond the original quote. When it became clear that the problem required a mechanic, he referred me to someone trustworthy with fair prices and followed up afterward to make sure everything was resolved. He even sent one of his team members to handle the final touches—again, without charging extra.
Tal went above and beyond at every step. He was clear, communicative, and highly reasonable with his prices. I am incredibly grateful for his professionalism and trustworthiness (especially after some less positive experiences with other autosmiths). I felt in good hands throughout the entire process, and I’d recommend him to anyone.

Old-fashioned in the best sense of the word is how I would describe this locksmith’s shop. I just needed some keys duplicated, but they had a choice of key blanks for me, and did the job quickly and professionally while I enjoyed the nostalgic ambience. Great service!

These guys are amazing! Melvin is a magician. He not only removed a broken key from a lock barrel, but managed to make a new key from the broken piece. Highly recommend!!!!!

Absolute waste of time – not recommended for lockouts. I called a person to pick a normal lock and decided on a price. A guy named John initially said 15 minutes and showed up 75 minutes later and asked for an insane amount of money.

Very bad experience.

It was pricey, but super convenient. I couldn’t make it to a real store within store hours, so this was a great solution for me. It was pretty quick, no longer than a key store. They have a great selection of designs if you can wait 3-4 days for shipping, They DO have standard blanks (and a few designs) in the machine if you need one right away.

This is a scammer locksmith, do not use them.

They did the job but charged 5x what they had quoted, and refused to leave until they received payment. When I complained they refunded some; then later when I started asking too many questions (via text) they refunded an additional amount.

It was my fault for not noticing there were no reviews and that the address provided is actually a toy shop and a dentist.

The weird thing is they actually replaced the lock and the guy was quite nice. Now I have to replace the lock they replaced, lock my credit card, and do identity theft monitoring.

Quick keys made reasonably priced. Just be aware they have goodies you’ll want to buy that have high ticket value.

Street metered parking, but seems to be always somewhere to park.

Original: I used the automated kiosk inside Safeway. It was $11 per key. Made a terrible copy, notable differences between the original and duplicate, and barely worked. Will not be returning.

Broke my car key off in the ignition. Managed to get it out in hopes of getting another key made. I hear these guys at Novato Lock are the best, so I went. Unfortunately, they’re closed at 12:30 on Thursday. No hours of operation posted on the windows or online, and no one answered the phone. But they are hiring!

If I could give a negative 10 star to this business I would. Their price gouging and fraudulent business practices are astonishing. The supposedly bought another locksmith that we used to work with as fraudulent and price gouging as them and then took it a notch higher. Being a captive client they charge 35 dollars per key. Today I paid over 200 dollars for 5 keys. They are so bad they even charged a 4 percent credit card use fee. I am sending our attorney after them and if the business operates under any special license I will file a complain. Stay away from these people.

I went to Rex Key & Security to get a few copy of keys on Tuesday. When I arrived the gentleman Josh was very helpful he told me that the key I needed might not work and told me to come back if I had any issues. I came back today with the box for the key I needed and he was able to assist me successfully with getting the copy. Josh was so patience and kind. All the employees are very nice and they all seem to love their job. I would recommend getting your keys copied at Rex as customer service is everything and they went above and beyond.
