So, here’s my short story. I was locked out of my safe because of a keypad issue, and I immediately thought it would cost $1000. I decided to call FM lock and safe and a guy named Daniel answered. I told him my situation, and he immediately suggested I check my battery. I checked it, and he insisted that I do so again. He even asked me to check the date and make sure I had a good battery. I continued asking him questions, and he kept saying that I needed to check my battery before he could give me a price. So, I replaced the battery with a new one that wasn’t expired. And guess what? My safe opened right up! I was blown away by Daniel’s honesty. I saved a ton of money. Any other shop would have probably charged me a very high price just to change the battery. So, hats off to this business and to the man of the day, Daniel. I highly recommend this company for any of your locksmith needs. They are very honest and trustworthy.

Untrustworthy and poor craftsmanship.
This company has performed locksmithing work on many of our vehicles over the years, and there has been a problem or misunderstanding every time. I tolerated it because they are a neighboring business and located very close by. However, yesterday’s encounter sent me over the edge.
I brought in a working fob and asked to have two more made. The two that he made were missing the top piece which actually holds the fob together. I then noticed that the original fob I brought in no longer worked, and that was because he took the interior of it and just put it into a new cheap plastic enclosure, but attempted to try and charge me full price for it as if it was all new.
Once I confronted him about that, he made multiple statements such as, my original fob never worked to begin with, and also that I somehow lost the interior pieces of my original fob during this transaction. He had me searching through my own car for it with zero accountability on his part, so obvious that he did not want to admit the truth.
It was impossible for me to even drive the car down to his location without my original fob working correctly. It was beyond insulting.. but of course, he took it to another level after that and insisted I paid full price until I threatened to go online about this situation.
He refunded me a little bit of money, but then sarcastically said to me, are you happy now? This whole situation is not about money. My company is a profitable business that provides customers with high level of craftsmanship at a reasonable price. This man does not do that at all.
He also said to me, you should just go to the dealership and pay full price, and I couldn’t agree with him more because his low prices are directly related to dishonest shortcuts and non-transparency. I have included a picture of these key fobs. You will see that one of them looks legit, and that is the original that you would receive from a dealership.
As a licensed contractor, I would never collect any money from any customer for a product that has missing pieces, nor would I insult him even further with false accusations and snide comments.
I will never do business with this company ever again. I will be making the drive up to Walnut Creek to Bomacs, or I will be working direct with the car dealerships.

I went to Rex Key & Security to get a few copy of keys on Tuesday. When I arrived the gentleman Josh was very helpful he told me that the key I needed might not work and told me to come back if I had any issues. I came back today with the box for the key I needed and he was able to assist me successfully with getting the copy. Josh was so patience and kind. All the employees are very nice and they all seem to love their job. I would recommend getting your keys copied at Rex as customer service is everything and they went above and beyond. An absolute life saver. On a motorcycle road trip, I locked my bike with a disc lock that I forgot to bring the key for. I was stuck, and the key was almost 5 hours away. Jeff came out with his mobile van (loaded with his tools) and got my lock open. I was able to continue my trip without a hitch. Great job and very professional.

Went to get a door lock replaced and keyed to my key. The employee had the lock re-keyed in 5 minutes. He was very efficient and explained how the lock works. That really helped me installing the lock back into the door.

I paid them almost 400 dollars and they left all the garbage in my truck of the things they used to fix my key Ignition. They scraped all the door panel where and they didn’t even close the case that sits on My steering wheel the clips don’t close abs when I drive it hits the steering wheel. They made me new keys and fixed the problem but broke and Scrape parts that where fine before taking it to them. It was very unprofessional the way they left my truck especially after paying that much.
