I called and chose Macmanuel because he was transparent about pricing. Told me he would be there in 45 minutes. He even told me to call and cancel another appointment I had booked since the other service was not transparent.

He never showed. I called several times and texted. I was cordial, but was blocked. I was relying on the service to make my car available to my family.

This made a bad day worse .

I do not recommend this place. We took our remote control car key so he can replace the shell, which we had brought in with us. That’s all we wanted replaced. He told us that he had to replace the key too because he doesnt do “Mickey Mouse” jobs and that it was going to be $65. We took our business down the street, where the man was awesome and he replaced the shell for us in less than 5 mins and charged us $10, but for being such an honest man, we tipped him an additional $10.

Tried to use this kiosk to make a copy of two different keys. The kiosk ended up showing a connection error message, and I left not being able to complete copying the keys. And why I’m giving it one star is because I now see a charge for $25.12 on my credit card even though I never completed my transaction due to the error.

EDIT: Updating to 3 stars. After contacting customer service, they were pretty responsive and refunded me the amount.

I bought a care remote from them. They told me it was a quality replacement. After a few months the paint on the buttons completely wore off. Then at 15 months it stopped working completely even with a new battery. They changed the battery for 10 dollars and said it would work fine. It still didn’t work and they were unable to make it work. Poor product poor service. I won’t be back.

expect to pay $550. they won’t quote on the phone (he said starting at $50 when I asked). They said they don’t quote because they don’t know the work it entails (I described the car and situation on the phone) – they opened a car door that I didn’t have the keys to – it took a few minutes with the window air pumps and the wire hook. Nothing beyond that was required, so if you have a different issue it may cost you more money. They also only take Venmo or Zelle.

My daughter was locked out of her car and was told it would be 15/20 min. for service. She waited over an hour after sunset in a sketchy area and they still did not show up despite several calls to escalate. These company is completely unreliable. Do not waste your time with these clowns.

Tried to set 3 separate appointments with the locksmith, always claims he’s too busy. On the most recent visit, I came for a simple 1hr job two hours before closing, was told to come back the next day (even though he had no business at the time I arrived); Upon asking what time the next day he told me he had 2 jobs already lined up in the morning (which is understandable) I said ok, left and waited. Called the next morning to ensure I’d get a phone call and he said he doesn’t feel comfortable working on my lock. I was at no point in time disrespectful, rude, or aggresive but I was treated like an outsider. To have my time played with by someone who claims to be a professional is both disappointing and costly, ESPECIALLY since the lock in question is the manual entry lock for my car door which I’ve had to leave unlocked for 3 days now. If he’d said that at the beginning there would have been no issue.
Highly frustrated.
I will NEVER do business with this man or his company, and if you value your time, I recommend you don’t either.

I hired this company in 2022 to install a keyed sliding glass door lock so I could enter my house from my garage. I was clear about how it would be used. They raised no concerns, said it was fine, and happily took my money.

About two years later, the lock came loose and stopped working. They came back, “fixed” it, and tried to charge me $300 to reinstall it.

Six months after that, the lock failed again.

This time, I was told the lock they installed “is not meant for daily use.” Let that sink in. A lock, installed specifically to be used as an entry point, is apparently not supposed to be used every day.

If that were true, why was this never disclosed before installation?
Why install a solution that fails under normal, clearly communicated use?
And why does the fix conveniently cost $300 every time it fails?

When I pushed back, their position was that this is normal wear and tear and outside their 90-day warranty, even though the solution itself was not appropriate for the intended use from the start.

I was not asking for a subscription service where I pay $300 every six months to keep a lock functional. I was asking for a lock that actually works for its intended purpose.

Their written response (posted below) confirms the issue. They acknowledge the lock and hardware are light-duty and not designed for frequent keyed use, which is something that should have been disclosed before installation, not after repeated failures.

Edit: I was able to get this fixed by another company in the area who offer a 3 year warranty.

This is a fantastic hardware store. Anything under the sun. I love stores like this. Friendly knowledgeable staff to help find what you need. I could not find a specific size o-ring in 10 other shops, but found it in this shop.

I used KeyMe Locks at Ralph’s. Im not going to lie, I was a little suspicious about using it because I used a machine. I was thinking to myself what if it make the key wrong or what if it might brake the key. Once the completion of my key I hurried up and tried it at home. I say a 10/10 and my key worked perfectly and I also used the discount that was provided.
