I came in for 8 copies, and was out by 5 minutes. Price is reasonable, about $3/house or mail key. I would come back if I need anymore copies in the future… the only thing I had an issue with was parking. There isn’t any street parking available most of the time, so I’ve had to park at the shopping center down the street.

I had three keys made at this locksmith, and not a single one worked. When I brought them back, I explained that the copies were slightly thicker than my original key and would not fit or operate the lock properly.

Instead of trying to help, remake the keys, or offer a refund, they essentially told me it wasn’t their problem because the blanks they use are thicker than my original key. If that’s the case, they should have identified that before taking my money and making keys that were never going to work.

I paid for three unusable keys and received zero customer service when I returned for help. A reputable locksmith should stand behind their work and make reasonable efforts to resolve issues when a key copy doesn’t work. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

I would not recommend this business based on their poor workmanship and unwillingness to stand behind their products.

A really unsatisfactory experience. I contacted ahead and inquired about the price, and I was told one sum over the phone. After the service was completed, I was charged more than the original quote, with no good reason. The job itself did not take long, but the lack of transparency left a negative impression. If the price will vary, clients should be notified before the work begins, not afterward. I would not use this service again, and I recommend obtaining the final fee in writing before agreeing on anything.

Cortez Key Shop is hands down the best place to get your keys done. Their prices are competitive and their knowledge of key FOBs and anything key related is advanced. The first time I went there, Bryan made a replacement key for my 2010 Tacoma work truck. Later, I took my other 2021 Tacoma, and Gio programmed me a spare key. They did everything super fast and the price was reasonable. I’ll definitely be going there again.

Very bad service I had to wait 40 minutes just to try and get a copy of a key and then at the end I had to leave because no one came to help me
If I could I would give negative stars. If you want to die of old age waiting for help I would recommend this place. if not just find somewhere else to get your copies
