Well, as I was calling and asking around for a capable locksmith. Turns out that only some do motorcycles. When I called Carlos and explained my situation, I told him that I had broken half of my key in the ignition. Let me tell you, it was all the way at the bottom of the ignition. I even tried picking it out myself. Big fail. With that being said, I was skeptical. However, Carlos came and handed that in about 45 minutes and made me two fresh keys. Definitely worth every penny. I will absolutely recommend him and his company.

Absolute rip-off.
$10 EACH for brass keys.
I went today to get 8 keys made, because I needed them today, not mailed to me. Spent $80 for the machine to spit out two keys and stop. The staff at the Ralphs are totally impotent when it comes to the kiosk and just said “oh well good luck.”
I tried to call the number on the kiosk. No answer. I tried to use their self-service form, but it won’t take my request because I don’t have an order number. Why don’t I have an order number? It never sent me the receipt to the phone number I provided.
ABSOLUTE RIP-OFF
I’ll be getting a refund through my cc company, thanks.

The guy came and did 15-20 mins of service and scammed us out of almost $500 for just a simple door unlock. I’ve been trying to call the company and they have been dodging my calls. I spoke to the supervisor once and he said he was going to call me back but he never did. I’m thinking about reporting them to the BBB.

Called about getting a key done for my car. Conversation was good, and was told he was going to check with one of his guys to see if he was in my area as they “were mobile only right now.” Said he’d call back in about 5mins. 30mins later I hadn’t gotten a call, so I call back. As soon as I identified myself, I was hung up on. I tried calling again immediately after and there was no response. Unfortunately couldn’t get a name, but it sounded like an older individual.

Service from machine was good.
Cost was extreme. $13 for one key is absurd, but I had no choice. Time was an issue. Was forced to get the upgraded key. The basic key, $10.99, was, supposedly, out of stock.

i dislike the keys that i made here. the trimming of it was so awful it couldn’t even open my door. it was always getting stuck inside the lock. i am very disappointed because i spent $12 for a key to not work and I bought 3 of them and they are all the same as well.

After two hours of tearing my house apart looking for my keys, I called Alan in a panic. I needed to be able to get to work on Monday. He responded immediately and got to me so fast! He was incredibly kind and professional, even when I had to admit I found the keys while he was already working on my car. I asked him to go ahead and make me a spare anyway, and also a house key since he was already there. He didn’t hesitate, and despite the mix-up, he stayed friendly and helpful the entire time. Mario and team did a fantastic job making a duplicate key for my 2015 Porsche Macan. I’d tried a different locksmith previously and didn’t actually get a fully working key. the new key from The Local Locksmith works perfectly including the wireless start. I’d recommend going here if you need a duplicate key for your car. Pricing and time to do the job were just as quoted over the phone too — no surprises!

My daughter’s Mazda Miata was purchased used with only one key, I called two places to get the keyless entry keypod made.
I called Michael he quoted me a price. I called one more place. They quoted me 200% the price plus $25.
I called another place and they wouldn’t even give me a quote
Michael was extremely professional. He told me on the phone he gave me directions. I went there. I handed him the key and while I was testing the new key he was writing the receipt. I left there between nine and 10 minutes.
10 MINUTES MAXIMUM!!
Michael would jump on the job immediately and his prices are so beyond reasonable!!

I had two keys that I brought in and needed extra’s. I paid $20 and had two keys made for each that I brought. None of the keys that were made worked in the door or lock. The pattern was correct, but the keys that were made were much higher or thicker than the originals. I emailed minute key when I received the email for the first key I had extra’s made, but heard nothing back. I will never use one of these again. I had used them before and never had trouble. When I couldn’t even get a response I decided I will only go to a locksmith or the local family owned hardware store. I know he makes keys that are always good. If he did make one that didn’t work, he would gladly replace them and probably refund the money for my troubles. Sorry Minute Key, you lost my business.
