My Technician was fantastic!! Open my carvso i could get out of the rain. He charged my battery because it was a bit low. He told me about how he got into the business and about life. Made the experience worth every dime spent!!

My kiddo recently lost the only key to her car. After weeks of searching we had given up. We called 2 dealerships and 2-3 auto locksmiths with 0 results / call backs. Absolutely amazing experience with Jim’s Bike and Key Shop in Columbia! My Honda key literally broke off in the ignition and I was panicking because the car wouldn’t work unless the fob/chip stayed touching the broken key piece. Honda quoted me around $150+ plus an $80 programming fee and made it sound like a huge ordeal because the part had to be ordered.

I drove straight to Jim’s Bike and Key Shop and they fixed it quickly, professionally, and for only $45. They transferred the chip into a new key case and had me back on the road fast. Huge relief.

They were honest, knowledgeable, affordable, and didn’t try to upsell me or take advantage of the situation. They know what they’re doing. If you need key work, lock help, fobs, skip the dealership and go here first.

Seriously saved our three day weekend!!

Was told they could reprogram a key fob for my VW. It turned into a nightmare. The car had to be towed to the dealer in Portland and not even they could fix it. My car now has one key fob to unlock the car and a second one to start the car. Somehow the car has a myriad of electrical issues now to boot.

Columbia Locksmith did pay for the damages, but what started as a good running car now is not even drivable and I’m basically gonna have to scrap it or sell it for a few thousand bucks to a flipper. All I wanted was a spare key fob and what I got was a car that will probably end up being scrapped or parted out. What an incredible turn of events. I wish I had just decided to live with one key fob.
