I was really impressed with Star Mobil Locksmith Services. It took about 15 minutes from the time I called until they showed up and started making a replacement key. The techs were super nice and the key they made was actually better than OEM quality (OEM was also available). The whole process was quick and I was back on the road fast. Highly recommend.

The pay doesn’t have tap-to-pay to pay with your phone. They offer a discount if you try to cancel the transaction but then they charge your card full price. $25 for 2 keys is insane

Very convenient, easy to use. They all worked. I will definitely use this vs.

I was extremely overcharged for pairing a key fob to my car. $389. It takes only five minutes to do. That’s double what you can expect at a dealership (which don’t have the most reasonable rates to begin with).

On top of that an $80 service call charge and $70 dollars to “jump start” my car, which was totally unnecessary. The battery was a bit low so he offered to attach to his battery just to make sure the car started to test the key pairing. I had no idea he was going to charge for that and if I had I would have used my own cars because the work was done at my house.

So I paid over $500 for about an hour of work, including the 30-40 minutes driving time to and from my place.

I filed a compliant but was simply told there was nothing they could do because I signed the receipt. Yes, I admit that was my mistake. It doesn’t matter if the prices or services are unreasonable because I signed it. Fair enough I guess.

Overall, just a $500 lesson in what not to do when dealing with these kinds of services.

Quick and easy! I am moving out of my apartment soon and the landlord claimed they would give me three keys but never gave me the third, so i just made my own! $10 is easy cheaper than $50 for replacement.. My lock can’t tell the difference! 😄

Service technician comes out, is unable to pair key fob with Ford Transit. Informs me he will return the following day at 11:00am to finish the job.

11:00am rolls by, technician does not arrive. I call the office and am informed he won’t make it on time, that it will cost more than originally quoted due to my ‘2023 Ford Transit’s security system wanting to behave like a 2024 security system’, and that it would need to be rescheduled for much later in the day.

I work nightshift and stayed up late for this service and lack of communication.
