I went to Rex Key & Security to get a few copy of keys on Tuesday. When I arrived the gentleman Josh was very helpful he told me that the key I needed might not work and told me to come back if I had any issues. I came back today with the box for the key I needed and he was able to assist me successfully with getting the copy. Josh was so patience and kind. All the employees are very nice and they all seem to love their job. I would recommend getting your keys copied at Rex as customer service is everything and they went above and beyond. I searched online for a locksmith to make a copy of my car keys and ended up calling the same company with different locations from Concord to Oakland. Wanting to ensure legitimacy, I visited AC Locksmith where the owner quickly made the key and even offered a $40 discount. I highly recommend this shop for their efficient service and fair pricing.

This is a key making kiosk located inside 7 Eleven. It takes about 3 minutes to make one key but it is more costly than the improvement stores, about $8 vs $2 at home Depot. If you press cancel it offers you 25% off so after tax it’s about $6.50. They have a buy 2 get 1 free but not sure if it applies with discount. They offer you another 50% off a second key after you make 1. It was convenient so I bought one and it works perfectly. You can also store the key in the system if you ever get locked out, nice for peace of mind. When I called to inquire on prices the guy wouldn’t tell me so maybe it’s different prices per area.

Had to go to two kiosks since the first one said I’d have to have the key shipping to me. The actual cutting of the key takes a long time, I got 4 keys so I was there about 15 minutes. Keys are like $11 which is pretty steep

Although my technician came within 20 minutes, the wood on my door is now damaged and the top lock is crooked, too—even though the bottom was only locked. I have a standard Schlage lock and paid $302 to have my door unlocked. Considering the damage now inflicted on my door, $302 is hefty for the quality of service I received.

Overpriced service. The up-charge for a better quality fit is nonsense. Your base product should be a quality product. Don’t scare people with an up-charge for a better key fit. Finally improve your tech because I tried to copy my bike rack key and the system mistook it for a car key. Human key cutters are better and cheaper.
