I highly recommend you not to hire this company they are so unprofessional I had a key made for my 2013 scion FRS he told me on the phone it would cost $190 to make the key when he arrived he made the key and charged me $240 key was working at first when he left the key no longer worked I tired to contact him he told me he would fix it he has not fix nothing I call him dose no answer I got scammed!

I wish I could give ZERO stars to Budget Locksmith in Sacramento. They are total scammers who took advantage of me when I was stranded and desperate.
I was at Costco when my car wouldn’t start. The dash said my key fob battery was low, so I replaced the batteries, but the car still wouldn’t start. I called this company, and they said a tech named Wesem Allen was nearby. He showed up, looked at my car for maybe two minutes, and immediately said it was my key fob. He told me it would cost $389 to program a new key.
I was stuck and trusted him, huge mistake. He “programmed” the key, charged me almost $400, and left. My car started at that moment, but the very next morning it wouldn’t start again.
I called him back, and now suddenly he said it was my electrical system or my car battery and wanted another $129! I told him I’d check with Nissan, and he tried to convince me the dealership would charge me more, total lie. I was told a supervisor would call to settle this and they didn’t.
Nissan towed my car, checked it, and confirmed it was just a dead battery. NOTHING was wrong with my key or electrical system.
So basically, this company ripped me off for $389, did not fix my problem, and lied to my face. They prey on people who are stuck and don’t know better. I feel completely scammed.
Avoid Budget Locksmith at all costs. Dishonest, unprofessional, and greedy. Save yourself the stress and go to your dealership or a real professional instead.

I have a simple kwikset key to my apartment. It wouldn’t make a copy which I need for my son to get in the house from school. It prompted me to mail 3-5 business days. I only have a PO box. I don’t have a mailbox where I rent because I don’t want mail sent there. How inconvenient! I’m not mobile to drive all across town. It defeats the purpose of having a kiosk! I can understand if I had a car key or fob or something.

Bait and switch with prices is very accurate! Use someone else. He is unprofessional, and as far as locks for a business, he didn’t know what he was doing.

The front lock, he did okay on, but when we tried to have him do the back door, he just created a big mess. The door wasn’t secure, and when I told him to put it back the way it was, he told me he had put the parts on the back of a car that pulled away, and that he couldn’t. Then the price just kept going up. We ended up throwing him out of our business.
