⭐ 1 Star – Poor communication and unprofessional behavior

I called ahead for a quote for a replacement car key, explaining my vehicle was a 2008 Hyundai Elantra GLS. At that time, I did not know whether my car required a regular key, a transponder key, or a remote, and was quoted $120 over the phone based solely on the make and model.

When I arrived with my title and license, I was told they needed to “look it up,” then informed my car does not have a transponder chip, yet the price was still $116. I was then told to come back in an hour after they took copies of my title and license.

I said I wanted time to think about it and possibly check pricing elsewhere. I was told “that’s not how it works.” When I asked what happens if I decided not to move forward, the employee attempted to take the copies of my title and license out of my hand, claiming they were his, despite no work being done and no key being made.

This interaction was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I understand VIN-based keys have limitations, but customers should be allowed to ask questions and make informed decisions—especially when personal documents are involved.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this business.

Had a Pella door key that Ace tried to match, but couldn’t. The women at Browns tried two times, the second attempt worked. Highly recommend this store for your locksmith needs. Professional, friendly and reasonably priced.

I had an excellent experience with Eli’s Lock and Key. Max came out in the middle of the evening and quickly fixed my door lock when I was unable to secure my door. From the very first call, the owner of the company showed genuine concern for my safety and responded immediately. He said something along the lines of, “I can’t let you go without a lock on your door, it’s not safe,” which truly meant a lot.
Max was professional, efficient, and clearly took pride in his work. The level of personal care, responsiveness, and strong work ethic from both the owner and technician was absolutely outstanding. It’s rare to find a company that treats customers with this level of respect and urgency.
I highly recommend Eli’s Lock and Key to anyone looking for reliable service and people who genuinely care about their customers’ safety.

Wow Dylon was a wonderful man to work with. Who hasn’t done this before, I thought I lost my second set of keys. Being in a panic I called this place and they were so kind. Then I remembered all of a sudden bam where I put them. So if you’re ever looking for someone to unlock your car or come to your house and give you a new set of keys or whatever they do cars and houses call them.
