I paid $130 for a 2018 Toyota RAV4 tranponder key, which is exactly what it states on my receipt. The machine then said it would have to mail the key to me. When the key arrived, it was uncut, and it was not a transponder key. It was a generic car key that wouldn’t start my engine even if cut, and that you can get elsewhere for maybe $15.

When I called to complain, I was told by their customer service that the use of “transponder key” was perhaps misleading and I had purchased a normal key…. Yes, advertising that there is a transponder in a key that doesn’t have a transponder is clearly false advertising….

I am then told I will have to mail the key back to receive a refund of my $130 dollars, and I will only receive the refund after they’ve received and processed the key. What?! So because you falsely advertised the key you sold me as a transponder key when it wasn’t, I am now going to have to mail the key back, and check my bank account every day for the next 3-5 weeks to make sure that you actually refund me? And I am subject to taking your word about whether or you received the key back when you lied about what key you were sending in the first place? I feel like you can at the very least refund me when you get confirmation the key has shipped.

This is completely ridiculous, and this company is a straight up scam.

Edit: In response to the owner’s response, I already did contact you all twice. I called immediately (as indicated in the original review) and then I used the form you are indicating. Neither resolved the situation.

These guys are absolutely Great!! Locked myself out of my Semi Truck. The response was quick, the price was very reasonable, and the service was amazing! Not to mention my truck was unlocked in about 5 minutes.
