I needed a new key fob for our Dodge Journey. The stealership (who kept the car 14 days to investigate the issue) wanted almost $400 to replace and program a new fob for me. These guys had me fixed up in less than 20 minutes with a new fob for only $100. I wished I would have checked with them first. It would have saved me time and diagnostic fees from the stealership. I’ll definitely check with them first in the future!

No problem making a perfect copy of my house key. Process was easy until payment. Didn’t want to accept my chip card. Took several minutes over and over trying. Finally accepted and finished. Key works great.

Emergency situations happen. Called very rude man answered the phone. I explained he had spoke with my son a few moments earlier and I needed to find out what information he needed he tells me and I send it. Says it will be some time this morning he will call you when on the way. This is 8 am. 12 pm called back he is even more rude tells me the tech is back but busy and he will call me and hung up without letting me say a word. I called my son to call him since apparently he has a problem with a women. They tell him waiting on key code from manufacturer, very understandable. 4pm tech calls says he’s on the way. We meet him out there which is in the country at a ride park. My friend had to be air lifted and my keys were lost in the total chaos. He is programming car and it doesn’t work, turns out the rude man that answers the phone is sick and gave him the wrong key. So he states be back tomorrow. Mind you I need this car to go to the hospital. Next day still can’t get it to work. Going to do research and come back in the morning. 1 pm next day and nothing from Roman’s. I called and rude man states they never have this much problem with a Nissan and that he can try to come out tomorrow. Done. Never use again and highly do not recommend.

It really pains me to write this review. The fella was such a gentleman. He came out quickly and got me back on the road in no time. Before I left. The key fob said not detected. He assured me it just needed a new battery. I don’t know anything about this, so I trusted his word and took off. I am not from Alabama. So I had a good ways to travel. About a week later, my car would no longer start at all. I replaced the battery before this. It would still say not detected. But eventually would start. Unfortunately I had to spend another $350 to get a new key fob since it was the sensor that was bad. Not the battery. I reached out to this gentleman to see if there was a warranty or anything could be done. He said best he could do was send me $100 back. I paid him $325. He did come out on a whim, and did do his part. I don’t think he intended to sell me a bad key fob. So I didn’t expect the full $325. Now I’m $675 into a key fob. And he has ghosted me. Didn’t even send the $100. So unfortunately I’d have to warn you guys to look elsewhere if you want a reliable locksmith and a warranty. He said he could make it right if I was close, and I believe he meant that. But there’s no warranty and he ghosts you when he offers to send money back. Just go to someone with a warranty. It’s not worth the risk.

Update. He said he “was going to refund me”. (He doesn’t communicate unless it’s phone calls, I can’t do phone calls) so he didn’t communicate with me. But since I said since I hadn’t heard back I’ll just leave a review. That I can forget my refund and leave my review instead. It’s sad to me he would do this to another human!! Go somewhere else!
