The first time I availed of KeyMe, the finished product did not work on my doors. But the customer service was so good, I was contacted by email, asked about the problem, and immediately refunded. I went back to the same kiosk to try another key (mailbox key). This time the blank/template was not available in the machine. I was notified right there that they key would have to be cut in their facility and mailed to me. Sure enough it was done, and the key worked perfectly. It came in a nice, hard cardboard envelope, ready for use; no burrs or sharp edges, just a perfect key.

I ordered a copy of my car key at the self-serve kiosk inside Safeway (behind self checkout). Simple and easy process. Key was mailed to my address. Cost me only 27$ which felt reasonable since I found estimates of upto $150 online. Took nearly 2-3 weeks to get the copy though. The processing animation looked like my remote was also going to be copied along with the actual key but got just the key. Does the job for me since I needed it as a spare for my roommate (we have tandem parking spots) but can't comment for keyless cars that have just the remote.

Got a house key here. The plain brass key is $8. There are some with designs for a couple dollars more. And even more if you want to wait for a mail order. Sadly, all the designs were lame so I stuck with the brass one. Upon checkout, they offer you to buy one more and get one free. So now I’m at $16 for 3 keys. It takes a few minutes per key, and the come out one at a time. There’s little cutting scraps on edge of the key. Just scrape them off with another key. There’s another spam at the end, hey buy one more key for $5.. no thanks. They give you an option to store your key code in the cloud so you can get a key next time with just your fingerprint. I don’t need my key accessible to hackers, so I passed. Still, a convenient way to get a key copied.
