  “ Make two, the third one free“. So I made three copies of my key. Then back home and used my original key opened door, no problem as usual. Started trying all three copies: The first one not working at all, the remaining two worked but needed 10 to 20 times struggles. I started loving my original key 10 times over .

  I was impressed by the "whole process" of automated key copying. I've seen these machines in stores in the past, but never actually used them until now. It's real simple, insert your key to be copied into the 3d-scanner (just like a regular lock you insert the key to be copied into). After scanning your key, you will be presented to choose style of key, regular brass, aluminum, and any graphics for they key. You may be presented with a deal, buy 2, get 1 free. Best part, after you're all done ---- you'll be presented with a choice if you'd like a digital-copy of the key you just copied to be emailed to you. I find this AMAZING. Because of the 3d-scanning, the scan of your key can be saved online and if you want more copies of the same key ---- you can use the digital copy to cut more physical keys! This feature is really nice. Especially if you have multiple properties or are managing properties. The price is very reasonable, and the deals they present (buy 2 get 1 free, and add one more for $1.99) make it even more cost effective. They have a credit card reader built into the machine and you can also feed cash into the machine as well! All in all, I find the Minute Key kiosk inside Lowes to be the absolute best option for copying keys.
