Was charged $150 dollars for an “outsourced” service. This was not disclosed to me ahead of time. I was only told this price HALFWAY through when I couldn’t back out and call someone else. Lock didn’t even need to be picked - took less than a minute to open door with air compressors. Terrible, predatory business practices.

I specifically chose to call this locksmith because it was only 3 blocks away from my location. They didn’t give me a price until they showed up and then said it would be $140 to unlock my simple 1998 Toyota car door. It took him 2 minutes using a air wedge and poking stick that I could have gone and purchased for much less than $50. When I went to pay the added fees were $187 total. A whopping $5600/hour. They quoted me 200 to make me a new key but I felt I’d been swindled enough by then. Most services for simple car unlocking are 50-100. Unmarked regular car didn’t seem professional and certainly wasn’t transparent about the added fees
