I was initially quoted 75 then the guy couldn't get into my house with a simple kwikset and came up with some excuses he said this is a special lock would be more money...125 then he couldn't get in and proceeded to dril the core of my front door out....to replace it that was another upcharge which he didn't tell me about till after 75 ended up costing 135 and not even a real locksmith cause he had to drill the core out to get in save your money and go with some qualified folks

I am sorry you are not happy with my service.  I do take pride in good quality customer service.  When you called and said you had a simple lock, the price was quoted at $75.  When I arrived, I told you right away that this was the new advanced smart key lock – which cannot be picked open – so the entry would cost more than a simple lock and I would have to drill open the lock. You agreed to the $125 quote, and I thought you understood the reason for the price change from the original quote at that time.  While working on the smart key, another glitch came up and I replaced the plug in the lock housing, and I reset the lock to your existing key.  The total work was an additional $10, for a total bill of $135.  At that time, you did not complain, and I thought you understood the cost and reason for the bill.   Again, I am truly saddened that you are unhappy and was not willing to state your concern at the time of service. Dave

Scheduled the service call and the person on the phone told me the total cost. The next day, I got called an hour before they were suppose to show up and was told it would now be twice as much. These guys are amateurs.

I believe that when we have given our price over the phone it was for a completely different kind of lock then when we talked before we were going to come out.  From storeroom lever lock part number F80 ELA 626 KDC cost about $80.00 that has a cylinder to get in and free egress to get out to an Institutional lever lock lock that has a locked cylinder from both sides that would require a key from both sides. two different locks completely and the only way you can get a lever lever Institutional lock is buying a grade one.  Part number ND70BD SFIC ATHENS 626 about $500.00 each. So it's best to know what you're looking for before you start getting prices..
