  I was at Lowes with my granddaughter when we saw the minute key machine. So much fun to use. And all three keys worked perfectly. Will definitely use it again.

  PROS: I used a Minute Key machine inside of a Lowes. It was the quickest and easiest way to make a key. All of these hardware stores should do away with their own key cutting and install these machines. I say that mainly because my experience with in-store key cutting is not good. I make keys regularly for work.. and my experience is FIRST you have to FIND someone to CALL someone over to come make the key. Usually they are grumpy because its not their department... or they lack the knowledge on the product if you have a question about a particular type of key, etc, etc. This Minute Key machine was GREAT for me. I am writing this machine a few months after the purchase and the keys still work great to this day. CONS: Someone using the machine beside me got their new key stuck in the machine. After the key was cut, it dropped down to where you are supposed to reach in and get it.. but it hung on a little ledge and would not come out. Me and they other customer were big men so we got on the side and front of the machine and tilted it way far forward but it would not drop out. The Lowes said "the machine" was a third party vendor and they could not really help.. as far as opening the machine or a refund (as you stick you credit card into the actual machine to get charged) and there were no phone numbers or anything on the machine to tell you what to do if there was a problem. I jus suggested the guy go home and search the internet for a way to contact Minute Key and I gave him my contact info in case he needed a back up to what happened.
