      this company came for a quote that I requested same day. after going threw all my options available we decided on a plan of action. the price was extremely reasonable and all options that I did not need or were excessive were removed and saved me money. we were able to come up with other things I would not have even thought about had it not been brought to my attention like maglocks with wireless remotes. As we have a gas station the level of possible danger is higher than most cases. with the addition of the magnetic lock and our bullet proof glass lets me feel a lot safer and that we can stop shoplifting much safer, without leaving the safety of the glass area. this company showed on time as promised and delivered every aspect of what was written and spoken about in the original meeting. they showed a lot of dedication and attention to detail in the installation, they also made sure to run any and all details by me to make sure I felt comfortable and understood the entire process. it is a rare find to have a company that keeps to 100% of their quote and statements. I am very thankful I used Kidon Security in Clinton township. they are extremely dedicated to their craft and customer service. They will have us as a customer for life. they also made sure I was well versed in every aspect of the new system prior to leaving.

      Zack Ellis was given a check for $3160 on May 13, 2021 towards a deposit on Invoice #182. To date he still has not installed the security cameras nor has he responded to emails, phone calls, or in person visits regarding the refund of deposit. I can not stress enough if you are looking for a reliable, professional company for security services do NOT use Kidon Security Services. Since our experience, we have seen in reviews posted on various other sites that we are not the only company he has stiffed.

      DMC, I apologize as clearly your experience is not a typical one based off our many reviews. We go above and beyond for every customer but clearly you feel that we fell short this time. Being fair and taking responsibility for our mistakes is something we pride ourselves on, to be honest in this case we feel that maybe there was some miscommunication but your account honestly does not represent the reality of what occurred. We would be happy to review with you the course of events as we can show you the communication that occurred and when it occured through a timeline of events. We have done several jobs for you to your satisfaction and while we hate to lose you as a customer, you must understand that with custom ordered equipment as well as scissor lifts and other specialty tools we are not able always able to do refunds. In this particular case we explained this up front and you agreed the deposit was non-refundable as we ourselves couldn't return the specialty cameras and tooling required for the job. We made several attempts to finish the job to your specification. We understand you are very busy but we attempted to setup an installation date with you for over 5 months prior to you requesting to cancel. If you give us a call we would be happy to work with you to come to a resolution on your issue.

      He comes off as nice and professional but is the very least of that. I had security cameras installed by him in May of 2021 and paid close to $1700 for the service. One of my cameras went out and I contacted him as soon as I discovered the camera wasn’t working. When he came to my home to see what the issue was with the camera, he was rude, I could tell he didn’t want to be there and he asked some very inappropriate questions. He asked if a male relative that was visiting at the time….”is that your man?” He was confronted about his behavior and tried to clean it up when a relative of mine intervened. Needless to say, I asked him not to return to my home to repair the camera because of his behavior. I phoned another security camera company, only to discover he put passwords on my cameras, that I was unaware of. When I contacted him to obtain this information, he was the least bit helpful, telling me, “I don’t know them off the top of my head”. When I asked if he could contact me back with this information, he said he would, but has not. He has not responded to my email nor text message for this information. He has a D+ rating with the BBB and quite a few complaints that I wish I’d seen before giving him my money or business.

      We use reviews as a performance metric for how we conduct business. That said as a business owner it feels a bit raw to find a 1 star review that is unwarranted and more of an indication of the customer than a reflection of our performance. In this case we made a comment that the customers home was very clean, a positive affirmation to be personable and make the customer feel good. This customer for some reason took it very very personal and as a negative for some reason that I honestly don’t understand. As we were cursed and yelled at we still tried to work with helping the customer. She decided to have another company come out, they came out and asked for password to system. A password that we set for the customer onsite with the customer. It is the customers password not ours. As we tried explaining that any reputable company could reset the password onsite we were then affronted again on the call when the customer called in and cursed us for not knowing the password she set. We can work with anyone but there’s not much we can do when we are cursed at, yelled and told to leave or forcibly be removed. Even after being told that “people would visit us from the prison her husband is in” we still tried to make things right and work with her. This has been a wake up call to us to review our processes and ensure that when going into a customers home that its a safe environment for our employees. It’s a dangerous world and there are all sorts of people, which is why you should have security systems in place. With all this said we also had a system that worked without issue. A squirrel was the cause and we as stated still offered to help at no cost. We will not be yelled at and talked down to. You had a 5 star review listed for well over a years time. As you did not get a password we DO NOT HAVE you choose yo change the review and widley strech the information feom the day we arrived to HELP.
