It was hands down the epitome of great customer service working with Dakota today. It was disappointing to find out I needed a new (kind of expensive) battery for my car. I looked at YouTube and after discovering it wasn't a straight-forward install like I was used to, I knew I needed help. After getting quotes from the dealership, I headed to the internet to find a huge savings at the store right around the corner from my house. I was in and out within 20 minutes and I just couldn't believe how easy it was to save over 100 dollars. Thank you!

I’m extremely irritated I’m gonna jump straight to the point. Last year March 2021 I purchased a battery for my Ford flex from batteries plus. I walked in with the old battery head and I walked out with a new battery I asked if there was a warranty they told me yes there’s a warranty if I’m not mistaken it was a three or a five year warranty. So I’m not sure if anybody’s weird but we’re going through a pandemic and I happen to be sick so I couldn’t drive my vehicle when I called up to batteries plus to explain to them the situation that I have someone else is going to be bringing the battery first they told me well they need 24 hours to hold my battery so they can inspect the battery make sure that it meet certain requirements if it doesn’t meet certain requirements then there’s nothing they can do. Per the manufacturers warranty. But if it meets all the requirements then they will replace the battery. Now I have a problem with this because I just happen to choose batteries plus for when you have batteries. I would prefer Interstate I would prefer Autozone I would prefer any one of these other places but I just needed a battery at this particular time. Again it’s been less than a year and now because I have been sick my vehicle hasn’t been running consistently for the last month they trying to tell me that I can’t get a new battery. One to me this is bad customer service because it’s only been a year and your testing policies and all that BS. So if you’re going to spend your money with a company I would suggest you Walmart is even better they will exchange it right there on the spot. So will Sam’s so will Costco so will Interstate I’m not sure what hoops you have to jump through through Autozone but the hoops fiery hoops that you have to jump through with batteries plus I will tell you it’s not worth it. Spend your money somewhere else. Not having to deal with the hassle it’s worth it to go somewhere else. Please forgive any grammatical errors I’m just in a mood about the situation and I would like to help anybody not have to go through what I’m going through.

David, The published warranty details the coverage of a defect in manufacturing, impacting performance. Routine maintenance and charging are required to optimize performance, and sustain the power characteristics of the battery. In order to understand any performance questions, we would need to evaluate the battery, which we would gladly do. IF the battery is discharged, it will require a full recharge to be tested according to manufacturer guidelines. This may take some time, depending upon how discharged the battery is upon arrival. Please feel free to contact us directly at the store with any questions, or drop the battery off for testing, at your convenience. Thank you.

Came in this morning and was told that they had the battery but couldn’t install it. The guy said he’d have to refer me to someplace that had a garage. I was so confused, because I’d never heard of a garage being needed to change a car battery. Nonetheless, figured I’d take the referral. After a few seconds of him looking puzzled (about why I was still standing at the counter), I realized that he wasn’t actually going to refer me to another place. He was just saying I’d have to go somewhere else. I told him that I was afraid my car wouldn’t start again and he said he’d give me a jumpstart. Thankfully, my car started and I went to work. That afternoon, I called the West Saint Paul location and they said they had the battery and could change it. When I arrived, there was only one person working and he changed my battery in less than 30 minutes…outside - no garage. I’m not sure if the employee at the Bloomington location was telling the truth, but it would be helpful to have some language online that specifies which locations can and cannot change car batteries.
