  Excellent. Had a blank for my 1972 BMW 2002 ti on the wall, cut the key, and gave me interesting information about the original key (steel vs chrome covered brass. Hang on to that as they aren’t available any more). Good job. The only suggestion is to call first just to ensure someone is there to help with your issue.

  Marge is great. If you need a lock part, say, for a Baldwin mortise case lock, there’s a good chance they have the part on hand. A-A is your go-to lock shop and mobile locksmith service: highly professional experts. One could say I am an authority regarding A-A, having worked here for a year and a half many years ago, until they wouldn’t let me anymore - but I have the integrity to tell you that they are very serious about their standards of service. Jim, the owner and former police officer and whose father founded the shop, has done very well to remain consistent. His operations manager, Lee, ensures that all jobs are handled with military-style precision. They’ve been doing this too long to be bad at it. Don’t dismiss the females working here. A-A females tend to be ace locksmiths and top trainers. Marge ran the Santa Clara store for years. Denise answers the phone now, but she started as locksmith, then trained other locksmiths - which experience, among other things, makes her the ideal first-contact person that will not only get things going for you, but she kinda holds everything together. Denise is the hub. Rich Acosta, with whom I have become and remain fast friends with, is yet another expert and currently runs the San Jose store on the alameda (as does Marge, alternately) and has been the inventory manager for A-A. They have every key blank in existence used in the western world (i mean, including Europe, maybe). So, if you have a key you need copied but can’t find it anywhere, A-A will have it 99.9%. It might make sense just to have your keys copied here instead of trying all other locksmiths first. (Some camper shell keys, gas cap keys, foreign motor keys, motorcycle keys, construction vehicle (forklift, bobcat, etc), storage keys, security keys, bike lock keys, office cabinet keys, cash drawer and register keys tend to be hard to find - but A-A most likely has them or will find a functional substitute. Laser keys, chip keys, no keys (can make them by code or by hand), skeleton keys, Medecco systems, Primus and Everest systems, master keying, all of it. A company like A-A, to have lasted this long, relies on having experts on every point and post in order to provide you with the level of service you reasonably expect. They aren’t magicians, but if you give them the chance, you’ll find that they’re pretty darned close. Other locksmith companies continually try to reach the pinnacle position A-A has maintained, but there can be only one standard. A-A is it. The other way to say it is that A-A is the peninsula’s top Smiths for Lock and Safe, in expert, punctual service and parts availability.
