  We lost the key to our bedroom door after locking it before a trip out of town and figured it couldn't be too expensive to get a locksmith to open a basic household door knob, so we called around. One place quoted a flat-rate of $90, and 24 Hour Lock and Key quoted us first $35 for what they called a consult but mentioned the actual cost would be based upon the type of doorknob it was, deadbolt being the most expensive. I gave them the brand and type of doorknob and they told us it would be $59 so we agreed because that was the cheapest quote we'd gotten. So, around 3pm on a Monday afternoon they swung by and we had a friend let them in (because we weren't getting home until late evening). A few minutes later our friend messaged us with the amount that they paid the locksmith and it turned out that they charged us $123 (over double what we were quoted). When we called and asked about the charges, they were unwilling to clarify why we were quoted $59, nor were they willing to explain why the price had been so high. Unfortunately, if we had had the opportunity to turn down the actual estimate and go elsewhere we would have, but our friend had not been aware of the quote that we had been provided so paid what the locksmith said they owed. Now we're stuck with the bill and no willingness from the company to negotiate. I don't know how much locksmiths make but this has inspired me to consider changing careers if they're making roughly $123 for 5 minutes worth of work. Please go elsewhere if you prefer not to get price-gouged and don't make the same mistake my partner and I did.

  This place is great! I locked my keys in the car while I had my 4 small kids with me, I thought it would be a disaster but the lady on the phone was very nice, they got a technician there almost immediately, and he had the door open within minutes. I was very impressed and would definitely recommend them!

  Absolutely terrible. $180 to destroy both the lock and the bike? You literally got out a bolt cutter and jumped on it, bending the whole bike frame and mangling the brake hardware. And the bolt cutters didn’t even work! You were a pathetic locksmith. I thought locksmiths were supposed to be skilled individuals, not strong men with blunt force.
