I always have good luck finding parts at True Value. There a many members of the team that always give good advice on projects when asked for. Store is always clean, well organized, and run by confident and kind individuals. One cashier tries to learn frequent customers’ names which is impressive! She finally got mine down which is why I am leaving the review today! Also, they carry Stihl!

Brought my snowblower in to replace a sheer pen which I could not get out of the machine. The two guys that helped me were extremely careful when unloading it so as to not wreck my wife’s van. They replace this year. And after I paid the bill they carefully loaded the beast back into my wife’s van. You don’t get this kind of great service in the big city! The bill by the way was only five dollars!  Thank you for the great service!

Want to give big props to the True Value employees and especially the owner. I called 10 min before close to find out if they had something I needed. Talked with the owner and was able to come up with a plan for me to pay and get my merchandise. As another business owner it is great to see great customer service! Thank you for the Hydraulic Cement, was needed and could not have waited for it.

So wanted to write a good review but . . . Decided to go there as a change of pace. I typically always go to Ace down the street. When I walked in not a single employee was wearing a mask as required. I definately felt uncomfortable. Yes I am a senior and considered at risk. Back to Ace from now on.

I went in there for a couple screws and some Fasteners. I was helped out right away. The gentleman spoke to me about the job that needed to be done and recommended several different options of screws and fasteners that would do the job and then recommended to me what he felt would do it the best. Upon going to check out, the cash register kept messing up causing me to be in the store for literally an hour. The 2 women at the registers continually apologized and explained what was going on to the best of their knowledge the entire time. Both the women continually were apologetic and truly sympathetic to me having to wait while their computers systems re-booting and they where trying to figure out what was going on. I laughed and Joked with them about how some people are too caught up in themselves to understand that computers mess up and they have no control over it. But these ladies went above and beyond to show their sympathy for my dismay even though I completely understood. They also kept thanking me for my positive attitude and for not getting upset and yelling like some people do. I would recommend this store to anyone.

I used to be a loyal customer to this location, then I tried to use their rental service and rented a stump grinder.  The pull chord snapped on my first pull after getting it home. I spent my rental time fixing it, then it started on the second pull.  I then used the stump grinder for less than 3 minutes, stopped to see how far along I was, then the chord snapped again when I went to start it.  I washed the machine and brought it back immediately, but they would only refund me 50% of the rental cost.  Therefore, I paid them $40 to fix their machine once and use it for 3 minutes, only for it to break again.  I definitely will never return to this place again.

Mr. London, we apologize for your experience with our rental unit.  As per our usual procedure, we started the stump grinder to test it before it left the store in an attempt to minimize any in-field issues.  Unfortunately, on rare occasions they do still occur.  Typically, if you call us when you have an issue we can either send someone out to you to repair the unit on-site so that you can finish your project, and/or adjust the rental time period so that you have time to finish without incurring additional charges.  We typically would not refund time to bring you below the minimum rental period, but in an effort to compensate you for the inconvenience, 50% of your rental fee was refunded since you had the unit for approximately half of the rental period.  Hopefully this helps to clear up how we came to this decision, but if you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us at the store.

Best hardware store in Greenville!  It's nice to go to a hardware store that cares about the needs of their customer.  The staff was very helpful in finding the materials I needed to finish a home project.  You guys are awesome and you gained a new customer!

To bad you can't search a specific item on the website to see if they have it in stock . All you get is hours of operation , directions , phone number and services offered . ACE in Greenville has an actual search engine and it tells whether it's in stock - guess  I'll have to call.
