Holly cow! I was in need of a plastic join nut for my kitchen sink, I walked in and asked the cashier, he pointed me to his coworker, he walked me to the proper isle and gave me the right size, I paid for it and back to my car. TIME 1:17 seconds!!!!!! Big stores try to beat that one!!!  I love supporting smaller businesses and this is a major reason why!!!! Friendly guys willing to help you!!!! Big store has none of that!

Believe it or not this place had everything i needed and the bigger box store didn't have anything i needed. Sealants and caulking specifically sikaflex and Henry's roof patch and a few others. It's a little difficult to get to and the entrance is sorta hidden but everyone was super helpful .price not bad for my purchase definitely competitive.

Popular small hardware store across 101Hwy. Well stocked full service to find what you need. I was helped find special size rubber o-rings for a tub drain and a personal shower hose both big box warehouse stores did not stock.
This enabled me to complete my repair same day.

This place is awesome. Rob was very helpful and fixed my hand truck on site with some new wheels. 5 stars all the way.

Up from some distance away - and really liked the redwood picnic tables they have - we asked about delivery, and Sam (owner/manager?) was SO helpful and quoted a really reasonable price for a fairly distant delivery run.  The following week we called in, paid for the table and delivery, and he came out same day, great energy, great help, and we have a really nice and fairly priced table.  We are really happy.  If we lived closer, we would be frequent customers.  Thanks Sam.

I go to True Value to support the local retailers.  The store is more expensive, but it's local and convenient.  The last time I went in,  the women was not very nice, and not user freindly.  There never are  many people shopping,  but the employees make you feel that you are a bother.  I have worked with the public for over 45 years.  Your store,  all employees,  but maybe 2, need customer service work.  They need training.
The receipt I have has the name Sam as the associate, but I don't think that was the lady's name.  Rude!  She needs to not work with the public or change her attitude.  Very dissatisfied with the service  that I receive there.  I will stop by, 1 or 2 more times to see if it's better.  Ive shopped there for many years and it's gone down hill each time I go.
It's too bad.
I hope you know, bad service travels faster than good service.

I have been to the TrueValue in Cotati many times. For me, a hardware store is like Chuck E. Cheese is to a 7 yr. Old. The Cotati TV is no exception. I have bought tools, paint, tile adhesive and grout, base board, screw, nuts bolts, hinges, cleaning suplies, plimbing fixtures, a flashlight, sandpaper and had a screen repaired. The building is deceptively large. It appears small on the outside. It is smallish when compared to the big box home improvement places but.contains almost anything you might need. Because it is not huge, you can find what you need without hiking boots and a map. They close at 6:30pm which sucks. Other than that, the place is straight up fire.

What a lovely store! I never feel like I get the help I need when I am in the big box store, so finding this True Value was a delight. Needed painting supplies. Got exactly what I needed along with some nice chit chat. The employee I dealt with was friendly, without being pushy and made me feel like coming back to show her pictures of my finished project.

Friendly service. I was surprised about the price of items. They are lower than Lowe's.
Knowledgeable sales team.
Lowes and Home Depot were  out of garden hoses .True value had them in stock .
