At other mechanics,  I always got overcharged to fix the car.  I'm so happy with an excellent service from Kirk today.  Even though he knew he may not make a dime out of me, he still tried to spend a whole entire hour of his time scanning my Mercedes to find the true problems.  Kirk told me from his expertise that it may not be the key that caused the car to be unable to lock.  Kirk then called his experienced Mercedes mechanic who happened to be his good friend to help find the true causes that made my key disfunction.  After an hour of his diagnostic,  Kirk said that I should not spend money making the new key from him.  He referred me to the super nice Mercedes mechanic who just simply changed the new battery with a reasoneable price and my key and lock is now fully function again.   I give 5 stars for Top Tech Locksmith, especially Kirk,  for his hard work and honesty.

I needed a new key for my 2013 CRV since I lost my spare. Got in touch with Top Tech Locksmith. I was quoted a very reasonable price compared with a new dealer programmed key. I went in to the office and was taken care of in a professional manner, the whole process took less than half an hour. The new key works flawlessly. I am.happy with my choice of locksmith.

My anti-theft steering column locking mechanism seized up on me over the 4th of July weekend.  Fortunately it was parked in a lot with 24 hour security since this issue took longer to resolve than I ever imagined.

After trying all known protocols to unlock the steering wheel and ignition with no success, I called for a flatbed tow truck. The tow driver was unable to unlock the steering mechanism, and tried to access the manual release for the transmission to put it in neutral to move the vehicle onto the flatbed. No success.  I called Audi for Audi Assist (mobile mechanic) but said the vehicle had to be towed in.

Then I discovered automotive locksmiths that assist with this specific issue.  I found Top Tech Locksmith and with all of their 5 star reviews felt comfortable calling them.

Customer service was completely unprofessional, belittling and condescending. I tried to offer as much information as possible so that the issue could be successfully resolved this time. I was actually told not to tell him how to do his job! I was quoted a price of $350.00. He said the Audi dealership would charge $1500. I asked him how he could quote a price not having seen the vehicle and/or situation? He said he had multiple jobs like this recently. He just assumed that the ignition lock and cylinder was faulty and needed to be replaced even though the vehicle had no symptoms (starting issues, key insertion & extraction issues).

Today my friend and I called AAA towing. We explained the situation and the tow driver within minutes, turned the steering wheel as I had tried multiple times, and it unlocked! Must of had the right touch. I was able to start the car and drive home.

So, if saving money is of interest to you, it's worth it to gather as much information as possible and be tenacious! There are plenty of people/businesses today, especially after a year of Covid that can't wait to take your money.

Sorry if I came off as condescending and unprofessional, but I must say one thing in my own defense. I do this for my living every single day I have been working on cars for 20 years and have worked very hard to have a successful and honest business. I don't appreciate you saying I can't wait to take your money. I spent over 10 minutes on the phone with you free of charge educating you about the common problem of the steering lock failing on that model car so you would not get taken advantage of from another locksmith since your car was out of my service area. If I misdiagnosed the car over the phone you are right it is hard to give a quote over the phone. I did tell you respectfully  your car does not have an electric steering lock which you kept insisting that it did. I don't appreciate a customer calling me asking for help telling me about a car I work with every single month multiple times. I feel you telling me how to do my job over the phone is condescending and belittling.

Kirk was extremely professional and knowledgeable about which keys will fit my vehicle, the requirements and different ways that each vehicle takes to program automotive keys. Kirk has invested his time to become educated on the most up to date technology and information regarding each vehicle and the specific year. He was flexible with scheduling and price. Best price compared to others but what really set him apart was his professionalism and personality. You feel like you are doing business with a friend who wants the best for you. I highly recommend him for all types of keys or locksmith solutions.
