  My company has used Richmond alarm for decades. They were great up until Johnson Controls bought them out and got rid of all the good people. We noticed in the news that Richmond Alarm was monitoring Fox Elementary' s system but that the alarm panel was not updated to the new Verizon required 804 area code, so the code never went out when the school caught on fire. Our company became concerned that our system was not updated too and called RA to see. They confirmed that our system had not been updated. So we had been paying for monitoring that we were not getting. We had a service contract but JC cancelled it when it took over and now they want to charge $600 for a visit. $600 to add a area code? Really? And what kind of alarm company does not inform its customers that their alarm systems are not communicating with them? I would suggest that there is a HUGE liability there.

  Switched system to new owner: Tech arrived on time and took time to explain the setup, and how it all operates. Tested all the sensors. Persevered to troubleshoot a video camera connection issue, and escalated, had the tenacity to figure out the issue and fix it, now everything working perfectly. Excellent customer service and satisfaction! Highly recommend the service. Very patient and professional attitude
