  Had an unfortunately bad experience this weekend as the locksmith I was assigned did not have the skills to pick a lock. I’ve called locksmiths before (once for the same lock that needed picking) and had never run into this issue previously. It was way too expensive a few for someone to drill through my lock. Unfortunately I’m out almost $200 and I have to buy a new lock. I’m aware there’s likely an increased price for weekend “picking” but I would consider a local company next time.

  Quick and easy kiosk in the mall. Then they got it to me in the mail within a week. I saved a heck of a lot of money doing it through them. I haven't had a spare key since I got my car in 2017 and now I rest at ease knowing that I have a spare now!

  The kiosk may be fine. I've never been there. The auto unlock 24 hr customer service was not good and gave me a very uneasy feel. The 1st person on the phone almost couldn't find my address after 6 attempts. Once a local tech finally called, he quoted a price for a new key without verifying what vehicle I owned. Most places can't re-key the type of car I own aside from a dealership. Based on the call center and a few responses he had, it sounded to me that the person may be involved in one of the local companies that take part in some very shady practices that promise services and flat rates only to be charged 3 or 4 times what was promised after waiting for multiple hours for help. From this and some of the reviews, I decided to go elsewhere. Later I recieved a text asking if I still needed service. I relied no. Then I got a call from a robo caller about every half hour.I finally decided to answered it. I told them i didn't need the service. She asked where I went and I politely declined to answer. She just hung up. Not a word. She was curt and impolite the entire phone call. Which is another aspect of the local company involves in scam like practices.
