It was fast fix. A little pricey but it works when it works. 2 years ago i did another copy of keys, buy 2 get 1 free, one didnt work but i got a refund. Im curious about their car keys( key fob) that needs programming and their prices. It must be pricey too!

    Response from the owner

Hello Michael, thanks for sharing your review with us and the community. Our KeyMe Locksmith team will definitely be happy to read what you wrote. I would like to address your pricing concern, and give you some details to help clarify any confusion, as to why our prices seem comparatively higher than a normal locksmith. KeyMe offers the convenience of key copying at your local store, and the ability to save your key. While our pricing might seem slightly more expensive, our saved key option helps to prevent future lockouts, which could save you hundreds of dollars in the long run. Locksmiths charge a premium cost for lockout situations, which can cost anywhere from $75-$150.00. Our pricing takes this into consideration. We hope you try us again and check out our great selection of home, office, car, and RFID keys at a KeyMe kiosk or give our professional locksmiths a call.

I lost the cheep key from the basement and went to Rite Aid KeyMe Locksmith to make the copy. They have an automat over there and the owner, who programmed that automat, just sits in the small space behind it. I placed the key in the slot to find out the price, and the screen displayed the price $9.99. Actually, the screen displayed about 10 different keys, but the price for each one was $9.99. I took the key and went to the Hardware store at 37 Ave and 88 St, where the gentleman made me a nice copy for $1.63, which was the correct price for the key of that type. Quate nice, that you cannot see the owner and it was not him who tells you that rip off price. He just programmed his automat for that price. Such people give bad face to New York and should be known as dishonest business owners that should be avoided.

It’s bit expensive than Home Depot . However , I would say it is good quality . No need to go back to store again like Home Depot copy keys machine was pathetic which causes to damage door lock . I had followed according to public reviews which turned into true so far . There is offers but 2 get 1 free on one specific key only not all keys apply.
