Locksmiths are never appreciated until you need one. Gem City made me several needed copies for important keys. I couldn't be more appreciative of a quality business like this in our Dayton area.

I speculate that it's a dying art, and we are fortunate to have this business to serve us when we need copies and/or getting out of a jam (quasi-pun intended).

After the fact, reading reviews I wonder how anyone could think $275 is a fair price for someone to get your front door unlocked!!!

Clerk was polite, didn't take long, price was very reasonable and the lock and the four keys worked just fine. 👍

This is a high quality key shop with people who really know what they are doing. And, they are honest.
I had never been in this shop before today, I went in to have new locks rekeyed. Harry looked at the boxes containing the new locks, and was able to tell me that the locks were already keyed alike. I had no idea, because I didn't know they would come to me like that. I assumed all of the locks had different keys. Another less honest person might have taken the locks, acted like they worked on them, and charged me for the work. In the end I only needed one lock rekeyed, and two additional keys made. Harry was great!

I would choose a real locksmith any day over Lowes, Home Depot, or similar place.

A Locksmith has training and exoerience. Lowes and Home Depot have people who worked the French frier at McDonald's last week, making your keyes today.

Great experience start to finish. Of the 4 locksmiths I called, Gem City was the only company that was able to tell me immediately what their prices were. The guy they sent was friendly, professional, flexible when I asked for a little more work, and did a great job. To add to all this, their prices were half of what their competitors charge.

Friendly bunch. Professional,quality service. I have used them for years. Out of those years I've only returned one key. I sure can't say that about any of the keys made at any of the big box stores that offer key service. Thanks 💎 city🔑  for the many great years of service.

This place is one of the last walk in locksmiths in Dayton. They have great prices and are extremely helpful and knowledgeable! Thank you!

Went in to have RV door keys copied. They said they don't do these. I thought they were a locksmith shop??? I was told they could not get the blanks. What I don't understand is how ACE hardware can get the blanks and a so-called locksmith shop can't???
