I wholeheartedly recommend East Coast Chip Keys for their top notch service and honest business practice.  I went in with a car key I thought was broken beyond repair, but they said they fixed keys like mine all the time. I left with a key that looked better than new with super fast and friendly service.

In general, I always try to find locksmiths with storefronts.  Other options said they had storefronts but were not actually there. These guys are the best of the best.  Thanks!

They only charged me $58 for the job (programing 2 keys and creating grooves of 1 brand new key).

Let me tell you a story quick: in 2017, I was in a similar situation in NYC. (Just Had to reprogram a key in the middle of the street because my car stopped and engine wouldn’t turn on, due to Chip/alarm issue) they charged me about $120 for it.

I feel like the service I got today was so much cheaper, honest, and upfront. Also, I found the guy who deals with customers was very easy to work with. All around, excellent place!! They get my vote!

We sold a fuse box to this company on eBay. Those are exchange listings which require an additional $75 core deposit to be paid before we ship out the item. Then customers return their old fuse box back to us and we refund the core deposit. This is stated all over the listing, which customers are expected, at the bare minimum, to read before making a purchase. It is even written in big red bold text right on the main photo. These people didn't read the listing, then when we sent them a message and asked them to complete the transaction, they started sending us all of these aggressive messages demanding that we change the terms of the sale to their liking and send them our module upfront. We compromised to allow them time to send their module to us first but told them that we would have to upload a bogus tracking number in the meantime because eBay only allows us a certain amount of time to mark the transaction as shipped. Then they started again with the rude, aggressive, and demanding messages, this time accusing us of fraud. At that point we canceled the transaction on eBay, refunded their entire payment in full, and asked them not to contact us again. They have retaliated by sending a barrage of abusive messages to our employees and leaving us baseless negative reviews all over the internet. We have had tens of thousands of transactions on eBay that have gone seamlessly. Thankfully it is rare to encounter people who are so stubborn that they have to make everyone else's lives miserable any time they make a tiny mistake they cannot own up to. Stay away from this company, these are not the kind of people you want to do business with.

Friendly and Efficient! Be mindful that they require an appointment to be made online in this time of COVID and it was incredibly efficient. I waited a bit while they wrapped up another customer but ultimately was a quoted a more then fair price to have two keyless fobs copied from my original one.(I supplied the key fobs...$125 total price for both) They had me back on the road within 15 minutes of attending to me and paid far less then what a dealer would have charged. Don't hesitate and give them a ring\book an appointment online!

They quickly duplicated a car key (cut+program). Fast, friendly service. Much cheaper than the dealership.

Couple of years ago East Coast sold me a used VW fob that saved me a hundred dollars.  In the first six months the chip broke loose and East Coast fixed it no charge.  Same thing happened this week, and East Coast again secured the chip no charge.  You could say they sold me a bad fob, but I'm the one who decided to go with a pre-owned one.  The fact that they are standing behind it two years later is worth five stars to me

Rude and dishonest. I called for the price to replace a Subaru car key, giving the year and model. I was quoted $150. I was never told that this was only "an estimate." When I arrived, I was told the price would be $200. Allegedly, the price I'd been quoted was only "an estimate. The assistant, with whom I was dealing, was rude. The owner, who refused to identify himself, more so.

An honest business would have told me up front if, in fact, the quoted price wasn't firm. Alternatively, they would have honored the price quoted.

A $200 quote for a key that cost $375 or more at the dealership sounds like a pretty good price to us. We’re not going to apologize for our pricing. And to be clear we always provide “approximate” pricing on the phone because we can’t see what type of key you have. There are cars that have 8 different options for keys! And we can’t realistically try to explain every key option your vehicle may or may not have. Every customer has a choice to accept, or not, the pricing once they come in to the store and we give the exact quote after verifying the actual key you have. Just because you think the key should be less expensive doesn’t mean we were rude nor dishonest.

Very satisfied.  These guys do what they say they will and are honest.  They showed up SAME DAY I called for an emergency (no keys for my truck) and charged me half of the original quote since they found a way to save me money.  They could have easily taken me to the cleaners but instead they were honest.  I'm telling everyone I can.  Price was literally 25% of what my dealer wanted to charge me which baffles me, but I'm happy.  Call these guys.

My niece was in town visiting and I saw that her car key was duct taped together.    We decided to make it a point to get the key fixed.   We called the dealer and for the bargain price of about $200 they would fix it.    We looked at other options since for a 2003 car, this was too much money to spend.    I called a locksmith who also gave a very high quote.   I found East Coast Chip Keys while looking on the internet.  We decided to drive over and see what they could do.    Within 15 minutes of walking into the shop, my niece had a new key at a fraction of the price.   The young gentleman we dealt with was beyond helpful, knowledgeable and  kind.  Since we left the shop, we have already told a handful of people about their services, and gave high recommendations!!   If I could give them 10 stars I would!
