Great place to shop whether you are looking for a power tool or some crafting supplies.  I wish they still carried ammo.  You just don't see stores like this anymore.  I wonder what will happen when Steve decides to hang it up.  Of course, the elder Mr. Byrum worked there until he was well into his 70s or maybe older.

I love this place. Old time hardware store with the best service in town.

Byrum’s is several shops in one place. The hardware store has a repairman who does a great job servicing our lawn mower. I like that I can get candy, paint and a basketball all in one place. The gift shop area has a good variety of items, but the aisles are a little narrow, so you have to pay close attention to where you are going if you tend to knock over things. The craft store tends to have new family friendly crafts every time I visit.

It's quite enjoyable going to Byrum's. There's always someone to assist you in finding what you need. They'll also help bring your items to your car, if needed. You'll find a nice section for gifts and craft supplies as well.

We've lived in Edenton for nearly 6 years and have made Byrums Hardware our "Go To"store.  It was an unexpected, but welcomed, culture shock when we came to Edenton after living the crowded, fast paced city life of the Orlando, FL area.  Byrums was one of our first treasures we found.  Immediately upon entering the store for yhe 1st time, we were welcomed with open arms and immediately had what you could call a personal shopper, which made things so much quicker and easier for me!  To this day,  we still recieve that warm friendly welcome & outstanding customer service, literally from the time we enter the store and throughout our shopping and then to top it off, they carry my stuff and help me load it in the car!

I can assure you that Byrum's Hardware will not disappoint you! To be honest, every business we've encountered so far, has always gone above the norm and really has made us feel at home!

My name is Teresa Bond from Lewiston NC.....I have gone there for the past three Christmas' and they have the most unique gifts in their boutique. The staff was great and they offered to wrap my gifts. They will walk around and help you find items...in most stores nowadays you can't find anyone to assist you. I wish the place was larger. Its wonderful, though.

This is so much more than a hardware store!  They have unique yard decor,  gift items,  this is a do not pass by store.
