Moved into a new house and needed the locks changed/rekeyed and get everything down to one key. Joe called me to give an estimate and he was super friendly and helpful.  He wanted to make sure I wasn't overpaying and assured me that they would take a look to determine what would be the best route to go.  Tyler showed up and was fast and efficient.  I had one door that was a problem child and thought I needed new hardware, but he was able to fix it in an instant!  Super impressed and glad I chose Big D Lock City!

I like how helpful the people, in the store were with getting a replacement car key.
Plus there prices are ones I find for our family we can afford.

I restore old VW's Big D Lock got a key made for a car that's 70 years old. I never thought I could get a key made for an old locking mechanism.  So happy great job!

Went here to get a ton of keys copied - basic stuff right?  Apparently not as literally only 4/10 of the keys I had copied work.  My time is valuable to me and now this is going to waste another hour + of my day.

Not a very good locksmith. I needed a key fab done and a key copied. He started to look up my key fab and in the middle of the transaction his phone rang and he got very irritated asking the customer questions on the phone and apparently that overwhelmed him because he wouldn’t do my key fab all of a sudden and wouldn’t even look at my key to see if he could copy it. He had a help wanted sign on the door I was going to ask him about but after that I see why nobody wants to work there

This place has every imaginable lock and provides every lock service. Prices and good and the people are knowledgeable.

I brought my own key to get cut and programed because the sign said $45, I called first and the price went up to $65, I showed up anyway and the price turned into $75! Skip it.

Not much to tell. I called to find out about a certain issue with my car, and whoever answered the phone was very rude. The guy answered the phone, "YEAH?" then after I explained what I needed he said to me, "If you want that fixed, you need to bring it in. We don't come out for that.", which is completely illogical. IT WAS MY CAR, DUH! That's fine, I was able to get a wonderful company to come fix my problem, charged me half of what Big D said they would if I brought it in, and gave me a 20% discount card for future services. I'm in Berkley and he's in Waterford, but that's fine. I would rather give my money to a sincere young person, who cares about what he does, and his customers. Those old men at Big D can be as nasty as they want. I certainly will never call them again!

I would recommend this facility for duplicating keys.  They were fast and kept me informed of what was going on as I waited. Pricing was very reasonable.
