I was locked out at a customer while making a delivery.  Fast service had my truck unlocked in 30 seconds and was even cheaper than the local folks said they would be.  First class all the way.  Great folks to do business with.

Just had locks re-keyed. Locksmith (Zach) showed up on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. Great service.

Sadly I did not ask beforehand what a service call would cost, so that’s on me.  The key was stuck in the front door lock I didn’t want to risk breaking it off and cylinder was loose.  In retrospect, with a little more investigation I could have fixed it myself, but I wanted to make sure.   Anyway,  5-7 minutes of work cost me a $60 service call fee AND $15 service charge.  I can accept the minimum being $60 because plumbers and electricians have minimum ($50) but they do that for at least 30 minutes of labor included.  So $75 for 5-7 minutes of work is a complete rip-off.    I get paid $55/hour and clients get 1 hour direct one on one service.  I’m in the wrong line of work.  My primary point is ASK about costs up front before accepting any service, don’t get blindsided like I did.

They did not tell us prior to our appointment but it is $60 per service call before anyone walks in the door.  So we had an $80 bill for a 10 minute fix on a sliding door. Just a heads up to anyone considering a quick fix. And we live a mile from their office. Will not be using again in the future
