I needed 3 locks changed at SHORT notice. Luke came out at late notice AFTER hours and did an amazing job switching out rusty old locks from 1930s. He evaluated the locks professionally, suggested which locks to rekey and which to replace while even partially  fixing door frames to make sure everything was flush to make sure all key turns turns flawlessly. I was extremely happy with the service. Obviously I paid premium for after hours but this was not a project I wanted to do myself. I will definitely contact them further for any needs. We had a great experience using Area Safe & Lock when moving to a new home recently! From beginning to end, the service was professional, thorough, and well done. The customer service representative I spoke to was very informative and friendly. The locksmith, Luke, was great! He arrived at the start of the time range provided, was very thorough, and even let us know that the deadbolt had been incorrectly installed previously, resulting in the lock not properly extending into the door.  Luke moved the deadbolt so it was properly installed, in addition to providing us new keys. Definitely recommend this service!

Area Safe and Lock is amazing! I called on Friday afternoon to get someone to come fix my door handle that day. They were out within a few hours- extremely professional service by Darin. The receptionist was super helpful and I am so thankful she was able to get me an appointment. They are fair in pricing and do excellent work. Highly recommend!!

This was a difficult problem with a condo entry door lock.  The tech was on time, cordial and knowledgeable.  He fixed the problem without having to resort to an expensive lock replacement.  Highly recommended and I'd definitely use this service again.

Absolute nightmare experience. Had a smart lock installed over a month ago. It took extra long because the installer went back to the office to get a plate for the doorway (there had been none there) which would’ve been fine except that was time charged without discussing what I wanted done. After discussion that I wanted to order matching hardware to the new lock, he “saved me $7” by not installing the plate as I was told that would be taken care of in the new matching hardware they were ordering (insert extra hour charge for the office trip). Then the install itself took longer because the bolt on the smart lock was getting stuck on something but was told that everything was perfect and it was the lock - turned out another piece had to be installed and without it was too much play and was in fact getting stuck and wouldn’t extend. Called two weeks later to get update on new hardware as it was already longer than advertised and without the plate installed in the doorway the door has to be held closed for the lock to engage, making the purpose of the smart lock useless - was told that hardware had never actually been ordered (I asked multiple times at initial install if there was anything else I needed to do). Was told that someone would come to install ($7 non matching hardware) plate on doorway to make the lock fully functional while new hardware was actually ordered. It has now been two more weeks and I have heard nothing, nor is there a temporary plate installed. Long story short it has been over a month after paying over double what initially quoted and I still have a smart lock that is only functioning as a regular lock as none of the smart features are usable to lock the door.

I called Area Safe and Lock because we needed a safe moved - very quickly. They got back to me within an hour or two with a very reasonable estimate (especially considering how quickly I needed them and how much work was involved) and were able to schedule it for less than 48 hours later. When they came to move the safe, they took care to protect doors and floors and make sure they didn’t leave a mess - and left the place as neat as it had been before they came through. They worked quickly, efficiently, and professionally. I highly recommend my experience with them and plan to use them again for any lock and safe needs I have in the future!
