Disappointed.  I like to stick with a company I've had success with in the past but when it comes to locksmiths that advertise 24hrs emergency service, I'm slightly intolerant when that is not the case.  I called the number listed on the York website (same website that advertises 24hrs service) and got voicemail.  The voicemail says to call the office, which is the number I was calling. The first 24hrs emergency service locksmith that answers my call immediately gets my money. That's what 24hrs emergency service means.

Just walked in with my apartment key to make a copy and the gentleman start questioning me not very kindly and start making excuses not to help me. If your service only for home owners put a sign on your door. Ridiculous .

I'm a board member of a condo project a few blocks from York. Frankly, I don't know what we would do without them. Manny, Allan, Mickey and crew have always done a bang up job for us. We recently had a gate that had been an issue for well over a year and been worked on by other "handymen".  York had it fixed and working perfectly in one service call at a reasonable price.  Keep up the good work guys!!!

I called the store to make an appointment for them to install a difficult lock set at my condo. They asked my time preference. I said 9 AM. at 8:30 they called to say they are on the way. Wow punctuality in Miami!!! The locksmith did his job perfectly and cleaned up the work area!!! AA+++

The owner is super nice and does a great job! I was his first customer on Friday morning and he was so friendly. It was a refreshing start to my day!

Experienced honest work. They do trustable work at a reasonable price.

The actual store is opened only Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.
The office is always closed, so when I called to check if they are open and have the service I need, it went right to voicemail.
Plus, it’s NOT open 24!
When I went to duplicate a key the store was closed (exactly what I tried to avoid and that’s why I called first).

Alex installed a brand new call box outside the front of our bldg. Great job. Great guy. And twice he returned for free immediately.  Once to lower the dial tone and once to re-program the box with new number for a tenant. Thank you York for having a great technician and great person on your staff.. Wow , unbelievably great service would highly recommend this company to anybody. Call them about a lockout for a car need to be at the airport ind an hour and a half.. I did not even tell the dispatcher that I just told him I was in a hurry cuz they probably hear stories like that all the time. The dispatcher told me 30 to 40 minutes but he would do whatever he can to make it faster. Within  6 minutes I received a call from the technician said he would be there in 10 minutes. He showed up in 5. And he opened the vehicle in less than 2 minutes. I've had some pretty terrible experiences with locksmith companies. They tell you one price they come out and charge something different tell you you need this you need that not at all. Very reasonable price didn't try all those sales gigs that most locksmith do.  I had already mentally prepared myself for all the games and thought I was going to get screwed  Basically in less than 20 minutes I was on my way.

It was a great experience and feeling to realize that not all locksmith companies are scams

I would highly recommend anybody to call York lock and key especially on South Beach.
