Uncle Marty's is the absolute BEST!!  Everyone who works here is so friendly and professional. They took great care wrapping and packing everything from my office that I was shipping from Ithaca to DC for a fellowship.  They carefully packed and bubble-wrapped my framed diplomas, protected the glass from scratches, and they packed books separately from fragile or breakable items.  When my boxes arrived in DC, it was obvious they had thoughtfully laid out everything and put bubble inserts where there was extra room.  On top of that, they also found a decorative feather from a special hat of mine that had fallen in their store when I was there!  They wrote me a sweet note and included the feather to the hat inside the package.  Because of the pandemic, we only just opened up the offices again, but I just found what an amazing job they did, their sweet note, and the feather for my winter hat!

They are really the best, most caring people!  This place and the people who work here are the BEST! :)

The team at Uncle Marty’s is so unbelievably helpful and professional. Any problem I’ve ever had related to packing or shipping, they were able to solve. Uncle Marty's is simply the best period. In all these years in Ithaca I had never been to Marty's until recently, when I needed to store some boxes for the summer. As a first time customer, I wasn't sure what to expect but when I called and visited the store for their storage service, they went above and beyond to help me out. They not only offer competitive prices, but are also very responsive and professional and their willingness to help the community during these tough times is inspiring. Uncle Marty is the absolute best shipping store not only in Ithaca, but the world! Marty provides the best customer service and I always trust him to find the cheapest price for all my domestic and international shipments. He never compromised his services especially during these difficult times. He provides safe pickup services to any shipments I want to send out which made our lives as new parents so much easier!

First thing wrong is that it smells funky and seems very congested, also a little sketchy when entering.
Employees were ok, but the shipping rates are much higher than that of ups down the street. Also they didn't seem as knowledgeable about shipping compared to the UPS lady in the other store (and knowing that they're in shipping, that's not a good thing)
There are better and more affordable places aroun, with better quality employees

We're sorry to hear that you had an unsatisfactory experience.  We try hard to ensure that everyone that comes into our store gets the best service we can provide.  As a small business, we do our best to make sure that everyone feels welcome and safe, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We usually find that FedEx shipping rates are very comparable to UPS rates, as they are competitive companies, but we do encourage our shipping clients to explore different options and compare rates between companies if they are inclined to do so.

Most of our staff is trained both in domestic and international shipping and have certifications in both.  We have hired some new team member recently, however, who are still going through our training process and learning the intricacies of the shipping process.  If you ever feel that your questions are going unanswered, please feel free to ask for a manager or another employee to verify or give a second opinion.  We never want our clients to feel as though they haven't gotten all the information they want about whichever service we are providing at the time.

I could not have asked for a better shipping service. Everything went so smoothly from repacking my boxes to make it more economically efficient, storage and shipping all the way to Europe. Marty was very kind and helpful! Without a doubt the best shipping service to use in the area!

Uncle Marty’s is without a doubt the best shipping office for Cornell students and really the best shipping place I’ve ever been to. He has all you could ask for regarding inventory and service. Uncle Marty is a real swell guy and truly seems to just want the best for his customers. There’s more-than-reasonable prices and a wide array of options. For me, there’s no reason to go any place else.
